American Football 2014-Year of the (Bengal) Tiger

Post by Problem Eliminator »

I know we have a couple of football fans here, figured we could use a dedicated thread for discussion.

As someone with roots in Cincinnati, it appears our long years of waiting my finally be over. But I'm hesitant to get too excited given that this guy
Image

is 0-5 in the playoffs, and this guy
Image

is 0-3.

But this year feels different. Dalton is playing well, as are Giovanni Bernard and AJ Green (who's a hometown hero for me). The defense is a beast. There's no team I'm afraid of facing in the Jungle, and the only team I'd really be scared of facing on the road is Seattle.

Who's your team? What's your fantasy team look like?
Here's my starting line-up, with the Bengals D and Dan Carpenter kicking.

It's a 14 team league, so you have to reach pretty deep for some players.

Brady is desperate to bounce back with a win Sunday over the Bengals in an almost "must" win for NE. My Colts will have a tough time with the Ravens but I hope they can pull out a win with their team decimated with defensive injuries and fines. Luck all the way as QB.

Luck has become an elite QB pretty quickly. Im sure Brady wants to, but if hes constantly getting sacked or hurried I dont see how he will. Also, Bengals have Vonteze Burfict back.

Bengals and Colts will give Denver and Pats a run for their money this year. The AFC is weaker than the NFC so it's a tossup up for several teams in the AFC. By the 8th game we will have a clearer picture of what's going on.

The Colt defense surprisingly looked great in the big win. The Colts blew some red zone chances :cuss: on offense but were able to win. The score should not have been that close. It's on to Thursday night at Houston where they can win and take over first place in their division. Image

Another win for the Colts over a stubborn Texans team and more sloppy 4th quarter play which must be corrected. Next stop, back home for the Bengals.

The Colts had better bounce back Monday against the Giants after that disgraceful loss last weekend.

The Colts bounced back nicely on the road and have a bye week off and return home against the Patriots for a revenge rematch from last year's playoff loss.

The Colts ended the regular season winning their division and making the playoffs starting next week but they will have to play a LOT better to defeat their first playoff opponent next weekend or else it will be a wasted season for them.

The Colts took care of business and won their first round playoff today against the Bengals. It's off to meet a very tough Denver team next Sunday and it will require a flawless performance by the Colts to win at Denver as the big underdog. Go colts :!:
