Twelfth Night isn't till Sunday, so it's still officially Christmas.

Does feel this way with the new year and Christmas in the rear view.

I try to carry on Christmas until the official end but sometimes the Christmas tv ends early.

I may keep my avatar for the whole year.

Is this classical?

It's nice to save the Christmas films for Christmas, although I always end up watching Christmas specials of tv shows during the year.

The malls at Christmastime are a no-go for me(too many people!) so I try to keep it to a place where I can get everything bought in more or less one fell swoop(the shopping center I went to has a Target,Pet Smart, and a Barnes &Noble(among others) which suited me fine. And I bought a couple of gifts online.

I give lots of gift cards(especially for my nephews) and a toy and a new collar for the dog niece and nephew(rescue Lab and a French Bulldog. Yes, I buy gifts for the pets. I'm a good dog aunt! )

Katie and Omega don't buy me a big gift this year - maybe just an 80 inch tv.

I think Christmas starts on December the 1st, although the tv channels have been showing Christmas films, cooking shows and adverts for the last six weeks.

I used to think Christmas started after thanksgiving, last few years it's August when the first sales and Christmas displays go up. After Halloween it's full time Christmas everywhere

Christmas stuff is creeping in earlier and earlier. No word of a lie, I'm pretty sure you can find Christmas lights(and a few decorations) at Target year-round  Walmart is just as bad!

Still a few weeks to go yet but my mouth is watering at the thought of my cousin's potato and fennel gratin. SO good. And I've mastered acorn squash(I mix together soft butter and brown sugar 'till it's about 50/50 of each. brush it onto the squash and bake. It's become a tradition!)
