My new publishing venture

Post by Kristatos »

Parthenia Comics is a new business that I'm launching. The aim is to publish short "how to" guides in comic book form, aimed at adult literacy learners and people whose first language is not English. I am currently seeking funding through the Indiegogo website. Even if you can't afford/don't want to donate, please help spread the word through any social media you may use, or post a positive comment on Indiegogo to help raise my profile. OK, I'll put my tin cup away now.

Curses, I've revealed my secret identity! Seriously, I normally post on forums under my own name anyway. I only used an alias because, when I first started posting here, any deviation from the approved line on Daniel Craig and CR made you a pariah on other Bond boards. As I'm sure you are well aware.

Good luck with the comics and hopefully there will be lots of people who work in education who will find them very useful! Do you write the books?

I've written the first one and am in the planning stages for the second. If the company takes off, I may hire other writers.

Thanks to whoever just contributed on Indiegogo. They went by the username of ian00fleming, so I'm guessing it was a DCINBer.

I am meeting with my business mentor/editor on Monday. She is going to take a look, in order to get a second pair of eyes on it. Once I have made any necessary changes, we will be ready to go to press. It should take about 3 weeks to get the first batch back from the printer.

Perfect pen name/name!
I'm envious. Make it happen! Go! Kris go!

Hope it goes well. There must be lots of people learning English in Europe so there is a big market!
