The layout of Bond and Beyond is the best one. My opinion about the MI6 "community" is will known .Says it all, really!

That's not me knocking the place by the way, as the intentions are just as noble as those of Bond And Beyond; The refusal to lie down and take what happened at MI6, thus kudos to it's creators.
But it's still Bond And Beyond all the way IMO; Content, layout, maintenance, moderation, admin, members, humour. In just a few short months, it's basically condensed everything which used to be good about MI6 into a very user-friendly, very popular and very well-maintained forum. All it needs is the kind of wider promotion and global internet presence MI6 Community has within search engines to absolutely soar in popularity, especially if search prominence is in place before the release of Bond 23. Even without this wider promotion though, I think B&B has given MI6 Community a good run for it's money and still often has higher member presence on the forums.

Re: What's your favourite MI6 forum?
Bond and Beyond. No question.
Could someone from 'MI6 Community' explain which members from Old MI6 set up the site, and contributed those 100 posts? If they were genuinely unhappy about the switch as we were, there's no reason why we can't get along.
"No one would have believed in the early years of the 21st century that our Bond forum was being watched by intelligences greater than our own; that as men busied themselves about their various concerns, *they* observed and studied, the way a man with a microscope might scrutinize the creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water..."
Will you come in peace, or pieces?

Re: What's your favourite MI6 forum?
The Proboards one is the official MI6, the Mi6 Community is an unofficial one and the BondandBeyond one is a splinter group.
The MI6 forum is dead as the old database and domain name disappeared so anyone can claim the MI6 name. The MI6 forum is dead, it has ceased to be. The BondandBeyond faction should have used the old MI6 forum software and logo and a domain name with MI6 in it to make a point - and for a laugh!

Perhaps, but we wanted to move on, and establish something better. The "Beyond" was an important part of the equation. Plus, you can't beat our banner.carl stromberg wrote:The BondandBeyond faction should have used the old MI6 forum software and logo and a domain name with MI6 in it to make a point - and for a laugh!

Yup. Bond and Beyond isn't designed to imitate the old MI6 but rather better it while carrying its spirit through the members that have decided move on and beyond.Lord Shark wrote:Perhaps, but we wanted to move on, and establish something better. Re: What's your favourite MI6 forum?
I actually suggested using the old MI6 forums banner, as I have the correct "Keeping The British End Up" MI6 Forum banner in my posession. If MI6 ProBoards want the banner to try and boost trade, I accept all major credit cards.carl stromberg wrote:The BondandBeyond faction should have used the old MI6 forum software and logo and a domain name with MI6 in it to make a point - and for a laugh!
But seriously, I think ultimately we all agreed with the honourable Lord Shark that the forum should be it's own entity rather than risk being deemed as some kind of litigation-baiting spin-off, and the title reflects exactly what the forum contains. Though I do like the term "Splinter Group", especially when our banner contains six badasses (well okay, five badasses and a clothes model) each pointing a gun at visitors.
Anyhow, maybe we shouldn't be too harsh on MI6 Community...
I must say, their latest new members show real potential:

Plus about 200 more where those blatantly random monikers came from.
Enough puppeteering to make Jim Henson roll in his grave. But to what end? Illusion of popularity? To reclaim the "most popular Bond forum" title through mass deceit? It's their business at the end of the day, but it not only very transparently paints a picture of a forum in trouble (?) resorting to desperate measures, but it's also plain downright deceitful if it's merely an act to claim "superiority" over genuine, honest and possibly more popular Bond forums through the illusion of higher membership (thus "popularity").
Actually, I take all of that back. I had a pint once with npfkmooecw. F*cking great guy, wish we had him at Bond And Beyond.

Re: What's your favourite MI6 forum?
I always thought they fudged the numbers of posters at the old MI6. No way that there were as many members as they always tried to claim there were.
