I am looking forward to watching it. Apparently the actor who played Mini-Me will be in it. Hopefully they're wont be people like Jade Goodey in it again.

A peak of over 6.4 million viewers tuned in to watch the launch of a new series of Celebrity Big Brother last night (Friday), according to early figures.

The opening show, which saw stars such as Ulrika Jonsson, La Toya Jackson and Verne Troyer enter the BB house, averaged 5.27m (21.8%) for Channel 4 between 9pm and 10.15pm. The peak audience of 6.42m (26.9%) came at 10pm.

The figure is down significantly on the last run - broadcast in January 2007 - when 7.1m, and a peak of 8m, tuned in to see the likes of Shilpa Shetty move in.

E4 spinoff show Celebrity Big Brother's Big Mouth, fronted by new host Jack Whitehall, followed the Channel 4 show with 793k (4.3%) over 50 minutes. E4's live streaming from the house then kept up a decent 345k (4.7%) until 2am, peaking with 695k (5.6%) at 11.20pm.

Channel 4's average share in primetime was 12.1%, up significantly from last week's 5.2%.

On ITV1 at 9pm, a repeat of Midsomer Murders delivered a healthy 5m (22%) until 11pm. BBC One's tribute show Morecambe & Wise: The Show What Paul Merton Did averaged 3.66m (14.9%) and BBC Two's new religious travelogue series Around The World In 80 Faiths launched to 1.21m (4.9%). Five had 921k (3.7%) for NCIS.

Earlier, BBC Two's Natural World - this week about the Great White shark - drew 1.72m (7.1%) for the 8pm hour, while on C4, a new series of A Place in the Sun: Down Under notched up 1.58m (6.5%). Five picked up 1.43m (5.9%) for World's Strongest Man.

Coronation Street drew the day's best numbers of any channel, with 8.94m (37.9%) at 7.30pm and 9.28m (38.3%) at 8.30pm. EastEnders was second on 8.97m (37.4%), while Emmerdale had 7.88m (35.5%) for third.

A double-bill of Hollyoaks brought in 1.43m (6.9%) to Channel 4 in the 6pm hour, then E4's first-look had 570k (2.9%) at 7pm.

ITV1 finished first in primetime with an average share of 27.6%, up from 23.4% last week. BBC One tumbled from 32.4% to a disastrous 16.6%. Channel 4 was third, then BBC Two had 6.9% - down from 10.4% - and Five rose from 2.9% to 3.8%.

Coolio sparks new 'race slur' row

Celebrity Big Brother producers are facing fresh criticism today for failing to act over the use of offensive language in the house.

Rap star Coolio used the term "n****r" in a conversation with fellow contestant Ben Adams yesterday morning - but show chiefs chose not to reprimand him.

Speaking to the News Of The World yesterday, a spokeswoman confirmed: "At around 9.20am today, Coolio recounted a vivid dream he experienced overnight in which he had been involved in a fight.

"Coolio used the N-word in his descriptive retelling to Ben. Coolio described how his imaginary adversary called Coolio 'Oh n****r'. This was again immediately flagged to senior production staff at Endemol and C4.

"After reviewing the footage, where Ben clearly took no offense from the use of the word, no other housemates heard the word, the footage was not broadcast to cause offence to viewers and the context that Coolio used the word, no further action was taken."

However, a TV insider commented: "It's as if Channel 4 and Endemol have learnt no lessons from all the previous incidents of racism and appalling behaviour on Big Brother. If he's allowed to use that word without any sort of reprimand, what's next?"

Big Brother 8 contestant Emily Parr was ejected from the house in 2007 after using the same term as she made reference to fellow contestant Charley Uchea.

Meanwhile, Jade Goody sparked an international outcry earlier that year after mocking Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty by branding her "Shilpa Poppadom" and "Shilpa F***awallah" on Celebrity Big Brother 5.

I didn't expect another race row to break out, this soon. God Celebrity Big Brother, likes to cause trouble.

Tommy's 'racist' song sparks criticism

Politician Tommy Sheridan has instigated a sectarian row in his home city of Glasgow after singing 'Fields Of Athenry' during a live broadcast of Big Brother.

Channel 4 producers cut coverage during the broadcast, but enough of the song was heard to draw criticism from the Unionist community in Scotland.

Rev. Stuart MacQuarrie, a chaplain at Glasgow University, told The Herald that 'Fields Of Athenry' is "anti-British" and therefore "racist" due to the song's reference about rebelling against the Crown.

"This is an Irish rebel song," he said, "and so the song should not be sung on television, or indeed anywhere."

Terry had encouraged Tommy to give a performance of the song after the pair tried to get Coolio to sing while cleaning.

Tommy halted the song after singing the controversial "Against the Famine and the Crown" section of the second verse.

He then admitted that the song had caused "real ructions up the road in Scotland".

Did you see Verne on The Surreal Life? He got drunk and Peter Brady, or the guy that played Peter Brady had to carry him to bed... where he rocked and moaned. Then, later, he got up nude and drove his wheely thing into what he thought was the toilet room... but wasn't... and proceeded to pee in the corner of a common room.

Should be interesting if they start to booze in that house!

Lucy evicted!

Lucy became the first celebrity to be ousted from the Big Brother house tonight after losing the public vote to Ulrika.

The two celebs were placed in the firing line by head of house Terry, who branded them the stars with the 'least talent' and 'biggest ego' respectively.

The 23-year-old model, who spent eight days living in the Big Brother compound, sat comforting a sobbing Ulrika as Davina made the announcement. Ulrika had earlier said that she wanted to be evicted because she misses her family.

Her crying increased when Lucy's name was read out, while the model cheered and said that she was "so happy".

"I'm not going to lie, I'm so happy. Can I have my money transferred in this evening please so that I can go shopping tomorrow?" she questioned aloud, before telling the group how pleased she was to have met them all.
Shame Lucy has gone, but I also did like Ulrika. Who do you want to go next I can't stand Coolio, he is just like Rex from BB9.

Coolio drives Michelle to tears

Coolio drove Michelle to tears today as he shouted comments about the Liberty X singer's relationship with Ben.

The housemates were going through their dance routine as part of today's task, while choreographer Ulrika at the front counted: "Two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight."

"You're all having a good time, doing all those gesturations," said Coolio, who was sprawled across the carpet.

"Five, six, seven..." continued Michelle. "Y'all count good to eight," joked Coolio.

"I see you looking at Michelle's ass too," teased Coolio, referring to Ben.

"He hasn't done anything," panted Michelle.

"Every time you turn around you don't see what he's doing," continued Coolio.

"He's looking at the routine," she snapped. "You're actually grating on me now, you're making him feel uncomfortable."

"I can't take it anymore," said Michelle, beginning to cry. "Ben won't say anything cos he's too nice. I feel so sorry for him."
Am I the only one who doesn't like Coolio.

Goody's lover to get early jail release

Jade Goody's boyfriend Jack Tweed is to be released from prison early, according to a report.

Tweed was sentenced to 18 months behind bars in September after being found guilty of assaulting a teenager with a golf club.

The 21-year-old is now expected to be freed in a week's time after agreeing to comply with a strict curfew and wear an electronic tag. Goody, who is currently fighting cervical cancer, is believed to be thrilled by the news.

A source told the News Of The World: "Jade can't wait for Jack to get out - nor can her two boys. It's been really hard for her, fighting the cancer and looking after the kids. Having him back will really help."

Goody has reportedly lost her hair after undergoing chemotherapy treatment in recent months.

Coolio admits to owning 54 guns

Day 10, 13:07 GMT

By Frances Penwill-Cook

Coolio has admitted to owning 54 guns and serving time behind bars for possession of the weapons.

The rapper's revelations come in a video published by The News Of The World. "Me myself personally, I’ve got 54 guns - 54! During the nineties, I had this fascination with guns. Now I’ve got 54 guns," he says.

The film shows Coolio discussing the "Class A felony" he received "about six or seven years ago", and admitting that he "was caught with a gun three times," for which he had to "do some time".

He goes on to claim that he has not shot a gun since the jail term, saying: "It has been six years since I even fired one."

Coolio was arrested in California in 1998 on charges of possessing a concealed weapon and marijuana. He was sentenced to ten days in jail and community service.

Coolio branded 'The Irritant' on BBLB

A clip showing heated arguments between Tommy and Coolio entitled 'The Irritant Vs The Militant' was shown on Big Brother's Little Brother tonight.

Following criticism from George Lamb about how "brave guy" Tommy had "only just started to stand up to Coolio", Tommy’s wife told him: "I think he squared up to him earlier on than a week ago."

She said: "I don't think anybody has actually pushed his buttons. If there were any instances of injustice or anybody was really upset, then believe you me, he will get in there."

The discussion moved on to Coolio's recent moves to antagonise Ben and Michelle about their feelings for each other. A video clip was played showing Ben telling Coolio that he did not want to argue with him, to which Coolio replied: "I want you to."

Fellow A1 boyband member Mark Read commented: "I don’t think Ben's going to play this game, Coolio's made it clear he is trying to push everybody's buttons."

However, he concluded that Ben has "quite a hot temper" and that "it is getting to that point".

It looks like the Irritant is becoming unpopular.

Michelle, Mutya, Ulrika, Tina face eviction

Day 12, 18:55 GMT

By Polly Taylor

Michelle, Mutya, Ulrika and Tina will face eviction from the house this Friday.

The housemates gathered on the sofas in their toy task outfits to hear the announcement this afternoon.

"How weird is that?" Michelle said as the four names were read out. Tina clapped her hands and smiled at the news.

Ulrika shook her head, saying: "Oh my God, oh my God."

Tina evicted!

Day 15, 22:06 GMT

By Mayer Nissim

Tina has become the second celebrity to be evicted from the Big Brother house after receiving 38.8% of the public vote.

The Shameless actress stood up, clapped her hands and yelled "Yes!" as Davina made the announcement.

Mutya, Michelle and Ulrika will remain in the house after surviving the eviction.

Ulrika held her head in her hands before she got up and hugged Tina, who said she was "made up" and started crying.

As the pair hugged, Tina said: "I'm really, really sorry for you, baby."

While Tina said her goodbyes to Verne and Tommy, Mutya said that she was "not waiting" to leave the house.

"I'm going tonight and they can't stop me," the former Sugababe threatened.

Mutya leaves Big Brother house
Day 15, 23:40 GMT
By Owen Tonks
Mutya has walked out of the Big Brother house.

The singer headed straight to the Diary Room after Tina's eviction, saying: "I seriously can’t take it anymore. I can’t stay another night."

She told Big Brother: "If I stay tonight, I won’t be able to sleep. I’m sure it won’t be difficult for you to arrange for someone to get me out the back door."

Going back into the living room, she casually told her silent housemates: "It will take about an hour, I told them to call my manager and call my mum and tell them that I’m going home tonight."

Big Brother's Big Mouth presenter Jack Whitehall later revealed that she had made her departure, leaving the house two members down following Tina's eviction.
