Michelle evicted!
Day 18, 22:30 GMT
By Sarah Rollo

Michelle became the fourth celebrity to leave the Big Brother house tonight during a shock eviction.

Housemates were dressed up to view the premiere of the movie they had made during the day about their time in the house when Davina made the announcement that "one of them was being cut from the final scene".

The presenter had earlier revealed that Michelle and Ulrika had been nominated to face the axe by the group.

Crowds outside had been under a vow of silence to ensure that suspicion was not aroused inside the compound.

"I told you," said Michelle, as Davina appeared on the living area plasma screen to name the housemate being ousted, while La Toya gasped: "You were so right."

Michelle quickly hugged her housemates as Davina said that she was "coming to get her". The former Liberty X singer then left the house to a mixture of cheers and boos.

Michelle's eviction followed the public oustings of Tina and Lucy, while former Sugababe Mutya walked out on Friday.

La Toya evicted!

Day 20, 10:11pm GMT

By Sarah Rollo
La Toya evicted!

La Toya became the fourth celebrity to be evicted from the Big Brother house in the first of two surprise evictions tonight.

Housemates had been spending the day completing a Dare Devil Task, during which the American had shown her bravery by licking Gentleman's Relish off a mirror in the house.

The public have been voting since Monday for the housemate they want to win this year's Celebrity Big Brother. La Toya had the least votes at 6.5% and was the first to be told that she would be leaving the house tonight.

The 52-year-old's eviction followed the public oustings of Michelle, Tina and Lucy, while former Sugababe Mutya walked out on Friday.

The recording artist and writer was greeted by cheers as she walked into the crowd to meet Davina. "I'm fine, thank you," she told Davina as she smiled broadly and waved to the crowd.

Tommy evicted!

Day 20, 10:36pm GMT

Tommy evicted!

Tommy was the second celebrity to be booted out of the Big Brother house tonight in a surprise double eviction.

The Scottish politician was met by mainly boos from the crowds, prompting Davina to term the moment as "quite a painful reception".

The 44-year-old's eviction came close on the heels of La Toya's exit, leaving just Ben, Coolio, Terry, Ulrika and Verne in the running for Friday's final.

The socialist Scot had earlier revealed that he is backing Verne to win the show.

Tommy was the sixth celebrity to leave the house, following the evictions of Lucy, Tina, Michelle and La Toya. Mutya walked out voluntarily last Friday.

Ben evicted, finishes fifth
Day 22, 20:52 GMT
By Sarah Rollo

Ben has become the first housemate to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house in tonight's live final.

Members of the public have been voting since Monday for the celebrity they most want to win the reality show.

The former A1 singer received the least number of votes during the first count of the evening, becoming the seventh celebrity to depart after Lucy, Tina, Mutya, Michelle, La Toya and Tommy.

On hearing Davina's announcement, Ben hugged each of his housemates before leaving to a mixed reception.

Speaking about his time in the house earlier, the 27-year-old joked to his companions: "I hate you all and I hope you fall in a ditch."

His departure leaves Coolio, Ulrika, Terry and Verne in the running for the winner's title.

Verne evicted, finishes fourth
Day 22, 21:09 GMT
By Mayer Nissim

Verne has become the second person to be evicted from the Celebrity Big Brother house on the final night of this year's show.

He is the eighth housemate to leave the house in total and finishes the contest in fourth place following Ben's eviction earlier tonight.

Before he left the house through his own ground-level door, Verne touched fists with Coolio, who told him to "party hard".

He walked out to a chorus of cheers before Davina told him to walk down the catwalk in front of the photographers.

Verne's exit defied the odds with Paddy Power and William Hill both having tipped the Mini-Me star to win the show.

I thought that Verne would of won it.
Coolio evicted, finishes third
Day 22, 21:30 GMT
By Sarah Rollo

Coolio has taken third place in this year's Celebrity Big Brother.

The 45-year-old's eviction will follow the departures of Ben and Verne, who were earlier voted out as part of tonight's live final.

The rapper was told that he will exit the house in about 30 minutes, leaving Ulrika and Terry in the running for the winner's crown.

On hearing Davina's announcement, Terry told Coolio that he couldn't have "done it" without him, while Ulrika said that it had been "nice at times" as the pair hugged.

Coolio earlier summed up his experience on Celebrity Big Brother by describing the group members as "decent people", before inviting them to "take a dip in my pool anytime".

Ulrika wins Celebrity Big Brother 6!
Day 22, 22:23 GMT
By Mayer Nissim

Ulrika has beaten off the challenge from ten other housemates to be crowned this year's winner of Celebrity Big Brother.

She pipped Terry at the last hurdle, with the former The Word presenter finishing in second place.

As Ulrika's name was announced by Davina, she hugged runner-up Terry.

"Oh my God, that's just bonkers! It's a fix," she exclaimed.

Ulrika was tipped as the third most likely to win by the bookies, but ended up beating odds-on favourite Verne.

BB chiefs back Ulrika's victory

Celebrity Big Brother producers were pleased with Ulrika Jonsson's shock victory on Friday night, a report claims.

The TV host triumphed over Terry Christian in the final vote, while long-time bookies' favourite Verne Troyer finished in fourth position.

As the result was announced by host Davina McCall, Jonsson exclaimed: "Oh my God, that's just bonkers! It's a fix."

A show insider told The People: "It is good to get a shock every so often. The last series of Big Brother was incredibly predictable, as it was the previous summer. It's quite nice when you end up with a result which takes some people unawares."

The source added: "The bookies definitely got it wrong this time but maybe they were too hasty in going all out for Verne. After all, Ulrika survived the public vote again and again so there was always a core of support there for her."

Sheridan to face perjury trial

Former MSP Tommy Sheridan is to face trial on perjury charges in connection with his newspaper defamation case, it has been confirmed.

The 44-year-old socialist was served with legal papers confirming that the prosecution against him will go ahead - more than a year after he was charged by police. His wife Gail, 44, was also served with an indictment over perjury charges.

Sheridan, who recently appeared on Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother, was awarded £200,000 in damages after he took the News Of The World to court in 2006.

The Crown Office said the indictment contained a charge of perjury against the politician and another charge of attempting to persuade someone else to commit perjury. His wife faces one charge of perjury.

The couple first appeared in private at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last March. A hearing is now scheduled to take place at the High Court in Edinburgh on February 26.

The perjury claims followed Mr Sheridan's case against the Sunday tabloid at the Court of Session in August 2006.

At the time, a jury of six men and five women dismissed the paper's claims the then-Scottish Socialist Party MSP was a serial adulterer and swinger who visited a swingers club.

Mr Sheridan claimed he was the victim of a political "witch-hunt".

The 23-day trial, in which several members of the SSP gave evidence against Mr Sheridan, led to a split, with Mr Sheridan later establishing the rival party Solidarity.

Neither he nor his former colleagues were returned to Holyrood in the May 2007 elections.

Big Brother 10 eye revealed

The Big Brother 10 eye has been unveiled.

The logo for the upcoming series is black, blue and purple and includes a thumbprint effect.

Last year's eye featured a shattered glass image, while the 2007 logo was a multicoloured affair in the style of the old television test card.

The new series is rumoured to kick off on Thursday, June 4.

I hope there is another celebrity one. It's a shame that Channel Four were a bit mean with the live stream only having a few hours of it during the day.
