US Election
Have you any views on the nexy US Presidential Election? I can't believe that there is enough support for liberal minded woman Hiliary Clinton to win.
I think a bland, centrist Republican will win.

Gary politics is topic I normally avoid.
However let me say I am tired of the election already. It is so far away from the election I just can't get into it.
Thinking of the last two presidents they didn't get in the race this early. Nobody knew the names George W Bush or Bill Clinton this early in the 2000, 1992 elections.
John McCain was supposed to walk away with the nomination 1999 early 2000. He didn't.
At this point someone new could throw their hat in the ring and walk away with it.

Could America choose a Black or female president. What are the chances of that happening? Obama and Clinton regardless of talent and direction would be controversial choices.
As a Non-American how do people feel towards the Bush camp and the Republican party? With the Iraq war and current stock market crash, I guess they must be on shaky ground.

I know Canadians have more rights in America than most foreign citizens, so maybe that includes the right to make campaign contributions. But I'm not sure aboot that.Dr. No wrote:Dennis Kucinich is getting money from Haggis?? He's Canadian isn't he?

Checked IMDB he is Canadian. I guess it doesn't matter to the election law.Kristatos wrote:I know Canadians have more rights in America than most foreign citizens, so maybe that includes the right to make campaign contributions. I kind of hope not. While I respect Gore, I think he was right when he said that his message about climate change would be diluted if it had "vote for me" added to the end. Gore can do more good outside the political system than within it, I feel.James wrote:I wonder if Al Gore will throw his cap in.

I believe Gore is done with politics. If he did run his environmental message would be deluded and cynical minds would interpret all he has done as political maneuvering. As Kristatos said.James wrote:I wonder if Al Gore will throw his cap in.

I wouldn't trust one of those candidates to run Dunkin’ Donuts and they are our hope for the future?!
McCain had my support is 2000, too bad he’s too old for the job now.
Gore didn’t get my vote because I was tired of everything Clinton. Think about this, what if Clinton had resigned instead of dragging the country through the impeachment BS. Gore would have been president, running as an incumbent for reelection. I think he could have won hands down. He has a better chance of winning now than he did running as Clinton's VP, this country has a history of electing presidents who narrowly lost before. JFK v Nixion, Nixon VP for Ike lost in 1960 and won in 1968.
LOL a McCain ad poped up when I opened this page.

Craig is too working class and unattractive to be James Bond. Acting is tough not enough, Daniel.
