UK health care a bust!

Post by bjmdds »

NHS may be forced to abandon free healthcare for all, says Britain's top doctor as he warns service needs radical change

Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/artic ... z41CEtbino I watched your government debate this issue yesterday on C-SPAN tv here. I see your system is a complete MESS and is going broke and might be radically changed. No surprise. NOTHING is free, except the air we breathe. The moronic millenials here were asked if they would like to have Bernie Sanders medicare for all. A good % said yes, UNTIL they were told that THEY would have to pay for it out of THEIR salaries, and they did an about face :!: The colleges here have become liberal indoctrination centers, not institutes of higher learning. Spending 4 years in college and borrowing $100,000 to go to college and major in liberal arts is now ridiculous and a travesty to their future indebtedness.

"Forced" my ass. The predator class has been itching to get its hands on our NHS for decades, and David "pigfucker" Cameron would like nothing better than to hand it over to his chums in the City of London and Wall Street, so that they can turn it into an American-style for-profit wealthcare system. Try asking the general public here if they want to privatize the NHS. It'd be slightly less popular than legalizing paedophilia. Why do you think they are doing it by stealth?

The Daily Mail is explicit in what it says. Your system is broken.

The Daily Mail pushes the agenda of precisely the people who would benefit from a sell-off. And their editors and proprietors can all afford expensive private healthcare, so they don't much care what happens to the rest of us. It's clear from the tone of his comments that the doctor quoted in the story doesn't see American-style wealthcare as a desirable outcome, and is offering alternatives in order to save us from that fate. Personally, I think a shift from hospitals to more services being provided in local clinics is be a good thing, and the NHS already seems to be moving in that direction. My GP surgery now offers an increasing range of services that I would previously have had to go to the hospital for. But the Mail and the Tories have a vested interest in proclaiming that the NHS is doomed, so that the latter can make it a self-fulfilling prophecy. Ever heard of the "shock doctrine"?

Sigh. Believe what you like. I'll continue to trust the evidence of my own senses over the corporate media.

All those crooked US healthcare companies want the NHS to be sold off so they can buy it up and rip everyone off.

I've watched Diagnosis Murder, and know how crooked these US heath insurers are.

It's the US system that's broken as you have to pay $100,000 for an operation or walk around in agony whereas in Britain it's FREE.

The usual phrase is "free at the point of delivery". The difference is, we pay our taxes, and then we're covered. Americans pay their taxes, pay an additional health insurance premium on top of that, and still get handed a massive bill on top of that.

What ticks me off is we pay taxes that give money though various methods to the hospitals and insurance companies. Now everyone in the USA has healthcare simply because it is illegal not to, at least that is the logic in DC.
But reality is people are forced to buy bad policies with huge deductibles, and still can not afford to go to the dr or hospital.so they literally lose thousands of dollars out of their family budget for no gain.
The hospitals keep building new wings, Drs get raises, rich get richer. Same old system new scam.
At this point I don't see the grand ol USA home of the "greatest healthcare in the world " have the right to knock any other system that actually keeps the cost down for the people who use it.

But I do know in the states the free healthcare systems we have usually suck. VA anyone?
