US Presidential Election 2016

Post by Kristatos »

We don't have a general 2016 thread, as opposed to ones for specific candidates, so I decided to start one. With an Onion story: http://www.theonion.com/article/urban-p ... inin-50365

Trump is one of the only people who might make me vote for Clinton, or the other socialist running. To me he is like Newt Gingrich.

Of the people running now we like

Rubio
Walker
Kasich
Jindal
Carson

Mix and match for pres and vp.
Honesty we'd love a Rubio and Jindal ticket, get the south represented again.
Louisianan gets the short end of the deal with the poverty of the state and the amount of cheap energy they provide for the northern states about time for them to get a president or VP

Trump never filed the OFFICIAL disclosure form yet for President so do not even consider him a real choice. If you vote for Hillary, this country will 'slime' further in ruination and your vote will help get us there if you vote for her. Walker/Kasich I have said from the beginning should be the winning ticket. Obama's non-affordable health care law must be repealed by a new President since justice Roberts is championing the legislation on his own. Roberts is irrational in his thoughts on this issue so it must be assumed he is being coerced into these votes. There is chicanery afoot here Dr. No and I hope you realize it before we cannot get out of the quicksand we are currently in. Calls for the US flag to not be flown are starting too.

A new poll shows former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton trailing top Republican candidates in three swing states. A Quinnipiac survey released Wednesday shows Mrs. Clinton, a Democratic presidential candidate, trailing Sen. Marco Rubio, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush in head-to-head match-ups in Colorado, Iowa and Virginia. Mr. Rubio holds eight-point leads over Mrs. Clinton in Colorado and Iowa, and a narrow two-point lead in Virginia. Mr. Bush leads Mrs. Clinton by five points in Colorado, six in Iowa and three in Virginia, while Mr. WALKER has a nine-point lead in Colorado, eight-point lead in Iowa, and three-point lead in Virginia.

Fast nationals for the debate are in. 24 million viewers, and nearly 8 million adults 25-54 watched the debate from 9-11PM EST. That's about 8 times as many viewers as the firs Republican candidate of the 2012 election and more than double the number of viewers for FNC's coverage of Obama and Romney's final debate. Thursday's GOP presidential debate on FOX News, featuring Donald Trump, earned a 16.0 metered market household rating from 9-11PM per CNN money. By comparison, the presidential primary debates for the 2012 election ranged from a 4.0-5.0 metered market household rating. On a non-presidential debate night, FOX News typically delivers between a 1.0 and a 2.0 metered market household rating.

To underscore how gigantic that number is, another recent blockbuster live event, the FIFA Women's World Cup finals, notched a preliminary 15.2 metered market household rating.

I hang up on Pollsters , Online polls I f' with just to screw with the numbers.

Scottish independence was way off , some of the us polls last year but 2012 was just about right.

I do think polls are considered part of the establishment , all my life the the political class as sought to maintain power by using polls if they are no good any more I'm cool with that.

Btw Romney lost in part because the republican base would not go out to vote

Bush is awful. He had a female plant ask Trump stupid questions in NH yesterday about women's rights and it was discovered Bush was behind her questions.

The respective party establishments have their thumbs on the scale for the royal dynasties of Bush and Clinton, but it seems to be coming back to bite them on the ass. I read an article about how their attempts to sabotage Trump and Sanders actually make them more popular, but I can't seem to find it now.
