The amount that welfare benefits to immigrants contributes to the debt is practically zero. It may be less than zero - I haven't researched the figures, but I know that most immigrants contribute to the economic pot rather than taking from it. Despite what you may have heard on Fox Noise (a network owned by an Australian immigrant), new arrivals to the US are not showered with benefits. In fact, you have to go into great detail about how you're going to support yourself, and to have a sponsor, before the Department of Homeland Security will let you have a visa. This is something I do know, from personal experience.

Not that any of this matters to you, I'm sure. The way the justification for this ban keeps skipping from terrorism to American jobs to welfare says to me that it's all just a pretext to cover the real reason you want to completely seal America's border, whatever that might be (I think I can guess, but shall say no more in order to avoid making unjust accusations).
Clinton and Oh-bama want a blanket amnesty which would allow 12 million, where there are probably 30 million in reality, illegals to become citizens, which allows them to be on the payrolls for health care, medicare, food stamps, etc., all of which they do not deserve having arrived here illegally. Go hate Fox Noise as you call it, and listen and watch your left wing socialist shows that you obviously enjoy...........Public polling views on Obama’s immigration actions: In a Washington Post-ABC News poll in January, 41 percent said the actions should go forward and 56 percent said they should be blocked. But support among Hispanics for the president’s initiatives was 80 percent, compared with just 28 percent among whites.........hardly a Fox News poll, and whenever these liberal news polls come out, they deliberately poll more Democrats than Republicans to tip the scales to a left leaning result, so I am SURE that the USA polling is actually higher than 56% against the almighty crumb in chief's policies.

Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP, and marketplace subsidies: Four health insurance programs -- Medicare, Medicaid, the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and Affordable Care Act marketplace subsidies -- together accounted for 24 percent of the budget in 2014, or $836 billion. Nearly two-thirds of this amount, or $511 billion, went to Medicare, which provides health coverage to around 54 million people who are over the age of 65 or have disabilities. The remainder of this category funds Medicaid and CHIP, which in a typical month provide health care or long-term care to about 70 million low-income children, parents, elderly people, and people with disabilities. Both Medicaid and CHIP require matching payments from the states. Safety net programs: About 11 percent of the federal budget in 2014, or $370 billion, supported programs that provide aid (other than health insurance or Social Security benefits) to individuals and families facing hardship. Spending on safety net programs declined in both nominal and real terms between 2013 and 2014 as the economy continued to improve. These programs include: the refundable portions of the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit, which assist low- and moderate-income working families through the tax code; programs that provide cash payments to eligible individuals or households, including Supplemental Security Income for the elderly or disabled poor and unemployment insurance; various forms of in-kind assistance for low-income families and individuals, including SNAP (food stamps), school meals, low-income housing assistance, child care assistance, and assistance in meeting home energy bills; and various other programs such as those that aid abused and neglected children........The nation’s long-term spending trajectory remains on a fiscal collision course. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and Obamacare are too large and growing rapidly. While the Budget Control Act of 2011 and sequestration are modestly restraining the discretionary budget, mandatory spending—including entitlements—continues to grow nearly unabated. Eighty-five percent of the projected growth in spending over the next decade is due to entitlement spending and interest on the debt. Obamacare is the largest driver of increasing federal health care spending, and it alone will add $1.8 trillion in federal spending by 2024..

A Republican backlash against George Stephanopoulos, the public face of ABC News and the network’s top political anchor, was beginning to build on Thursday after the disclosure that he had made large contributions to the Clinton Foundation in recent years. Reports by The Washington Free Beacon and Politico state that Stephanopoulos had given $50,000 to the Clinton family’s foundation since 2013. Image He is a rotten skunk of the Democratic party, married to Shmoopie from Seinfeld, and parades himself around as non-partisan. BALONEY :!: I cannot stand this Clinton peon of political stupidity who knows absolutely nothing about anything.    ................Stephanopoulos, co-host of "Good Morning America" and host of the Sunday morning public affairs program "This Week," has reported on Peter Schweizer's book, "Clinton Cash," which traces the public involvement of organizations that have donated to the foundation set up by former President Bill Clinton, whose wife Hillary is the former secretary of state running for the 2016 presidential nomination. Stephanopoulos interviewed Schweizer on "This Week."
The news anchor said that he believed his contributions were a matter of public record. "However, in hindsight, I should have taken the extra step of personally disclosing my donations to my employer and to the viewers on the air during the recent news stories about the foundation," he said. "I apologize." ABC News, in a statement, agreed that Stephanopoulos was wrong not to notify his bosses and viewers but called it an "honest" mistake...........Yeah right :!: An honest mistake? :!: ABC should stand for ANYONE BUT CLINTON but they are in the back pockets of the Democratic party with NBC and CBS as well.

Any who worked in the White House should not work in the news , the guy in this story was a attack dog for the democrats long before this. Their wee accusation going back to 2012 he was coordination his questions with the democrats

Somebody needs to run a parody ad for the Clinton foundation , for $10 million you can get Hillary a face lift for $100 million you can pay for Chelsea's wedding .

I want to defend Stephanopoulos, just because he's a fellow Greek. So, um...nice hair!

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker holds a 7-point advantage among Iowan voters over the rest of the crowded Republican field in the scramble for the party's 2016 nomination for president, a new Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics poll finds. The poll, released late Saturday afternoon, shows Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee rounding out the top five in the state, which, as the first-in-the-nation caucus, is a critical battleground for presidential hopefuls. Walker captured 17% of the vote among likely GOP caucus-goers. He first gained notice in Iowa when he sparred with Wisconsin's labor unions in 2011, and he has played up his connections to the Hawkeye state and his background as the son of a Baptist preacher. He surged to the front of the Republican pack in the state earlier this year after a strong showing at the Freedom Summit, and became the first 2016 contender to open an office in the state. The poll found that two-thirds of likely Republican caucus-goers view the Wisconsin governor favorably, the highest among candidates in the poll.

A new poll shows former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton trailing top Republican candidates in three swing states. A Quinnipiac survey released Wednesday shows Mrs. Clinton, a Democratic presidential candidate, trailing Sen. Marco Rubio, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush in head-to-head match-ups in Colorado, Iowa and Virginia. Mr. Rubio holds eight-point leads over Mrs. Clinton in Colorado and Iowa, and a narrow two-point lead in Virginia. Mr. Bush leads Mrs. Clinton by five points in Colorado, six in Iowa and three in Virginia, while Mr. Walker has a nine-point lead in Colorado, eight-point lead in Iowa, and three-point lead in Virginia.

Walker looked pretty lame in the debates and dropped in the polls. He must pick up his game or he is going nowhere.

The consensus among the punditocracy seems to be that Walker is "boring". Evidently they prefer a carnival sideshow like Trump. Then again, it's easy to blame the media, but would 24 million viewers have tuned into the debates if it wasn't for the "What outrageous thing is The Donald going to say next?" factor? People get the candidates they deserve.

Unfortunately in 2015 "celebrity" status counts and people want flare. Walker is a good choice but is not exciting the voters. Go Carly go :!: She is spot on when she speaks about detailed policies and knows global business and foreign affairs extremely well. After the next debate on CNN, I think she might be in the top 2 :!:

Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin has concluded he no longer has a path to the Republican presidential nomination and plans to drop out of the 2016 campaign, according to three Republicans familiar with his decision, who spoke on condition of anonymity.

Mr. Walker called a news conference in Madison at 6 p.m. Eastern time.

“The short answer is money,” said a supporter of Mr. Walker’s who was briefed on the decision. “He’s made a decision not to limp into Iowa.”
