That explains why Rubio is being talked up as if he had won Iowa, despite coming in (I think) third.

yep Jeb! Jr. Came in third and Donald "if you ain't first your last" trump came in second . Rubio gave a speech as if he won. He was close to trump , but Iowa giving cruz the win was not a big surprise they tend to favor the evangelical choice usually surprising the pollsters.

Rubio isn't really establishment but he's not a outsider by any stretch of the imagination. Watching him more closely he's a paper man IMO same as most other politicians. A Facade to be the most pleasing to the most people, never putting his real beliefs or real self on the line because some % of voters might take offense.

He thinks he is the republican Barack Obama. Probably is doesn't mean he should get the job.

A woman from Florida spoke out on the radio today saying she knew Rubio at the grass roots level when he ran for Senator and he was pushing amnesty then and when he got elected he signed on for it with Reid and Schumer and when the Republican electorate turned on him for this, he caved and did a 180 :!: He says the same rehearsed canned pablum all the time, as Christie has pointed out today. Trump all the way for the Republicans and Bernie for the Democrats and we will see who the country decides to elect. Screw BOTH party establishments :!:

Fox, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, and NBC all want Hillary and Bush or Rubio now. I hate these tv Republican talking heads from the establishment that mock Trump all the time. Megan Kelly has little Hoss Cartright Chris Stirewalt Image and uppity nostril Marc Thiessen Image on every single night knocking Trump. Fox hates Trump as much as the liberal channels do :!:

Republicans in Congress are exploring a way to enact a repeal of Obamacare and other parts of their agenda soon after a new Republican president takes the oath of office in 2017.

Several Republicans said they’re discussing the possibility of adopting a budget this year that would let the next president’s agenda -- including top goals like repealing Obamacare -- bypass a Democratic filibuster at the very start of the year. Republicans used a similar move early this year to send a bill repealing much of Obamacare and defunding Planned Parenthood to President Barack Obama, who vetoed it.

The strategy would allow Republicans who control the House and Senate to put just such a bill on the desk of a new president if their party wins the White House, without having to grind through months of budget process. To succeed, Republicans need the Senate parliamentarian to let them use rules set by a budget resolution into the next Congress.

“It could be pretty powerful if it works,” said John Cornyn of Texas, the second-ranking Senate Republican. “We haven’t yet concluded one way or the other.”

I don't believe a word the say. They had 7 years to fight Obama and rolled over played dead. IMO they think doing token bills will appease their voters but it's too late for that. People understand how and who Washington for .

From what I understand, it was a virtual 4-way tie for second place. This benefits Trump, as it means that none of his main rivals is likely to drop out soon, which would allow their votes to coalesce around a single candidate instead of being split several ways.

well I think it ended up being a three way race for third. If all the establishment guys stay in then trump will take the nomination.

Chris Chrispy is on the verge of dropping out, I gather. Wasn't he near the bottom of the pack, though?

he got 8% I think. But not scoring higher kicks him off the main debate stage, Rubio and bush manage to stay, Cruz took 3rd , kasich took 2nd but it is probably his last stand.

he looks pro-pillaging. :)

Christy and Fiorina suspend their campaigns.
If they polls play out with trump wining SC I'm waiting for the smartest minds in America( who have no idea why sanders and trump are winning ) to start the whisper campaign how trump needs bush as a VP running mate to add much needed seriousness to his presidential bid.

Having lived in South Cackallacky, this doesn't surprise me one bit. Though funnily enough, I was seeing more pro-Carson posts than pro-Trump posts from friends there that I still keep in touch with on Facebook. That was a while ago, though. I think Carson is more or less a spent force now.

According to a Morning Consult survey released Friday Trump earns "44 percent" support from registered Republican and Republican-leaning independent voters. Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) comes in a distant second, with 17 percent.
Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and Sen. Marco Rubio (Fla.) are in third, with 10 percent each.

Trailing them are former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, with 8 percent, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich, with 4 percent.
