The U.S. economy grew by 4.1 percent        in the second quarter of 2018, marking the fastest economic expansion in nearly four years, according to a highly anticipated estimate released Friday by the Commerce Department.

President Trump touted the "amazing" growth during remarks at the White House, cheering a shrinking trade deficit and claiming the country is on track to hit the highest annual growth rate in over 13 years.

Trump won barely 8 percent of the black vote in 2016. Yet today the "NAACP’s own polls" show his approval rating among African-Americans standing almost three times as high, at 21 percent. Even as cable news networks debate reports of the existence of a recording of President Donald Trump using a racial slur, a new poll from Rasmussen Reports says that the president's approval rating among African-Americans is at 36 percent, nearly double his support at this time last year.

"Today's @realDonaldTrump approval ratings among black voters: 36%," Rasmussen said in a tweet. "This day last year: 19%."

That is a staggeringly high number for a man who only won 8 percent of the African-American vote in 2016 :!:

I'm surprised you have not mentioned the Swedish election this week BJ. Another populist party is doing well - in this case the Sweden Democrats which may win the vote.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment aid fell to near a 49-year low last week and private payrolls rose steadily in August, pointing to sustained labor market strength that should continue to underpin economic growth. :happy spin:

On Thursday, the New York Times — America's newspaper of record — published a disgusting false smear against U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley. The original article suggested Haley was responsible for spending $52,701 on curtains for the UN ambassador's house in New York City, when in reality the decision to purchase the curtains was made under former president Barack Obama. The Times appended a correction at the top of the article, altered the headline, and removed the photo of Nikki Haley.----the NY Times is all trash :!:

Did Kavanaugh Accuser Send SAME Letter About Gorsuch too?----------------------Debra Katz, the attorney representing the woman who’s accusing Brett Kavanaugh of a high school era sexual assault, is the vice chair of the Project on Government Oversight — a group funded in large part by George Soros and his Open Society Foundation :!: :!: :!: My, how the partisan links surrounding this accusation continue to grow. First the revelation that Christine Blasey Ford signed a letter in opposition to President Donald Trump’s border policies, showing her political leanings as a far leftist.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 51% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Forty-seven percent (47%) disapprove.

The latest figures include 38% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 38% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of zero (0).

This is Trump’s "highest" Presidential Approval Index rating since early February of last year, shortly after he first took office. By comparison, Barack Obama earned a presidential approval index rating of -12 on October 8, 2010, in the second year of his presidency :!:

Here we go gang :!: ALE will jump off a building once this sham is finally laid to rest :!: --------President Donald Trump's critics have spent the past 17 months anticipating what some expect will be among the most thrilling events of their lives: special counsel Robert Mueller’s final report on Russian 2016 election interference They may be in for a disappointment. That’s the word POLITICO got from defense lawyers working on the Russia probe and more than 15 former government officials with investigation experience spanning Watergate to the 2016 election case. The public, they say, shouldn’t expect a comprehensive and presidency-wrecking account of Kremlin meddling and alleged obstruction of justice by Trump — not to mention an explanation of the myriad subplots that have bedeviled lawmakers, journalists and amateur Mueller sleuths. Perhaps most unsatisfying: Mueller’s findings may never even see the light of day. “That’s just the way this works,” said John Q. Barrett, a former associate counsel who worked under independent counsel Lawrence Walsh during the Reagan-era investigation into secret U.S. arms sales to Iran. “Mueller is a criminal investigator. He’s not government oversight, and he’s not a historian.”

From left-wing CNBC to boot :!: --Medicaid enrollment declines for the first time in more than a decade as strong US economy boosts income for poor Americans
Medicaid enrollment fell for the first time since 2007, declining by about 0.6 percent in fiscal year 2018, according to a new report from the Kaiser Family Foundation. States are budgeting for a "minimal" increase in enrollment of 0.9 percent in 2019, the report says. "States largely attribute the enrollment slowdown to a strengthening economy, resulting in fewer new low-income people qualifying for Medicaid," Kaiser says.

US Economy Grows at Fastest Back-to-Back Pace in 4 Years :!: :!:
“The US economy grew at a faster rate than expected in the July-September quarter, according to the Commerce Department’s advance report released on Friday,” Akin Oyedele reports for Business Insider. With 3.5 percent GDP growth for the third quarter, it marks “the economy’s best back-to-back quarters in four years.”
Under President Donald J. Trump, “a healthy job market — with the lowest unemployment rate in 49 years — coupled with strong consumer confidence to support consumer spending, the biggest driver of the US economy.” :happy spin:

President Trump on Saturday challenged Democrats to speak up after Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee referred a woman to the FBI for “materially false statements” when she accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of raping her. “A vicious accuser of Justice Kavanaugh has just admitted that she was lying, her story was totally made up, or FAKE!” he tweeted. “Can you imagine if he didn’t become a Justice of the Supreme Court because of her disgusting False Statements. What about the others? Where are the Dems on this?” Under questioning by Committee investigators, Ms. Munro-Leighton admitted, contrary to her prior claims, that she had not been sexually assaulted by Judge Kavanaugh and was not the author of the original 'Jane Doe’ letter,” Grassley’s office wrote in a Friday referral to the Department of Justice. “When directly asked by Committee investigators if she was, as she had claimed, the ‘Jane Doe’ from Oceanside California who had sent the letter to Senator Harris, she admitted: ‘No, no, no. I did that as a way to grab attention. I am not Jane Doe...but I did read Jane Doe’s letter. I read the transcript of the call to your Committee...I saw it online. It was news.” According to the referral, she also admitted she had never even met Kavanaugh. Last week, Grassley referred attorney Michael Avenatti and client Julie Swetnick -- who accused Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct -- for criminal investigation regarding a potential “conspiracy” to provide false statements to Congress and obstruct its investigation. Avenatti represented Swetnick, who accused Kavanaugh during confirmation proceedings of being involved in or present at “gang” and “train” rapes at high school parties in the 1980s.

Investor's Business Daily: "The latest IBD/TIPP Poll results show that people are more optimistic about the economy, less financially stressed, less worried about jobs, more satisfied with the direction of the country, and happier with the federal government's economic policies than they were in November 2016 :!: The public also gives Trump higher marks on his handling of the economy than they did President Obama :!: In the latest IBD/TIPP poll, however, just 27% of Democrats believe the economy is improving. But 92% of Republicans and 52% of independents now say it's getting better. What can possibly explain the huge gap except abject hatred of Trump?"

Barbra Streisand said democracy is “being assaulted” and bashed women who voted for President Trump, saying they “don’t believe enough in their own thoughts” to vote against their husbands.

“I love my country and it’s painful to see democracy being assaulted, institutions being assaulted and women being assaulted,” Streisand, 76, told The Daily Mail in a wide-ranging interview.

“A lot of women vote the way their husbands vote; they don’t believe enough in their own thoughts. Maybe that woman who’s so articulate, so experienced and so fit for the presidency [Hillary] was too intimidating,” Streisand continued.

Streisand’s latest album, “Walls,” is a series of protest songs aimed to combat President Trump that were written because the election was “devastating” and she was “heartbroken.”

And they'd be chanting in French. It looks like the neo-Nazi rally in London for Tommy Robinson.
