Cr is the worst. Maybe Skyfall but they all are kind of wrong

I don't care for the new spiral design of the Craig gunbarrels, or for the fact that they're placed at the end of the films. But if I did have to pick one, I guess it would be Skyfall. The gunbarrels during the Brosnan era at least kept the classic design, but just used CGI to make them look a little fancier. And speaking of the Brosnan era, why did you skip it?

The Craig gunbarrels look like parodies, and besides that I think DC walks rather silly.

I'll post the 90s gunbarrels next btw, thought I'd finish with those.

CR. Setting it in a toilet seems appropriate, somehow.

Yep. But it is like after TWINE they forgot what made the gun barrels cool. I minded the bullet flying at the screen for DAD . And each Craig film they try to make a statement about his becoming bond and emotional state

They're all piss poor. To begin with, they are never where they should be (at the beginning of the films). At a push, I would say that SF is the best of the 3, but that isn't saying much.

You got that right. I can't honestly pick a "favorite" since they ALL suck, so I'll just point out exactly where they suck and have myself a hearty chuckle as Timothy Dalton would from Licence To Kill.

CR's only advantage concept-wise is that it's close enough at the beginning of the film, but the toilet-setting renders it laughable despite all their "serious" intentions at being a "hardcore', "gritty", "back-to-basics", "no-hold-barred", "bold-statement" of a *reboot*. <flush>

QoS screws the pooch by being so far at the end that most of the audience at the movie theater I attended were actually getting up to leave :!: just before the GB appeared. And Craig-Bond looked like a chump with his silly walk, waddling like a lame duck who needs to go to the bathroom (that analogy again!).

SF is probably the dumbest with the lame-ass way Craig-Bond pivots around as if to imitate the original Bob Simmons' "turn" in Dr. No while half-heartedly holding his left arm out to ape Sean Connery in Thunderball. The result is that this poser is trying so hard to be as legitimately cool as his predecessors that he utterly fails to make his own mark, making him look twice as foolish.

The only question that remains is that when/if the next Craig-Bonds are made, will they:
1) even bother to put the GB at the very beginning where it's supposed to be? (I doubt it)
2) waste their resources reshooting yet another new one instead of the economical old way of just re-using the one that worked the first time and be satisfied with it?
(they got FIVE whole movies out of using The Spy Who Loved Me's GB and nobody noticed or cared that Roger Moore's appearance in the actual movies changed, so where's the problem with that method?)
and 3) how much more will it inevitably SUCK so I can groan at/make fun of it some more?

Because it's in a toilet, where I believe the series was heading (and is now). But I assumed my quoting Kristatos' quote was supposed to be self-evident.

Oh, and since I know exactly where YOU are coming from (and are going with this) based on your posting history, I have nothing more to say to you because your "opinions" are valueless to me and a complete waste of my time and effort to deal with. Consider yourself *IGNORED*, mister.

We're not talking about Pierce Brosnan's Bond on THIS topic board, mister. And my opinion of THAT scene is not relevant here. So unless you've got anything USEFUL to discuss besides your obvious attempts to bait me into a petty back-and-forth argument like you have with other persons all over this site like the troll I believe you are, don't bother me again.

Craig toilet screen was an agent screwing up his mission then they created the supposed iconic gunbarrel around the restroom massacre.

If all you can say to defend such a piss poor scene is say pierce showed his face in a bathroom you really are trolling. Fundamental problem with Craig's gunbarrels is eon forgot what they mean. It's not about bond finally becoming bond, finding a quantum of closure, getting back to a job he is too old for that he deserted on a whim and should be in a secret jail next to other security problems until he is too old to enjoy the last years of his life.

to the original topic, a more realistic (and hence more 'new Bond') gunbarrel would be for 'Bond' to be shot, and he collapses in a puddle of massive deltoids.

Quantum of Solace for me. The thing that annoys me is that they are putting them at the end of the movies these days.

Apparently Eon are going to be really radical for Bond 24 and put the gunbarrel sequence in a different film.

Yes, it's apparently going to appear in the middle of The Hobbit part 3.

I think it would be Quantum of Solace for me. But, then again, they are all poorly designed, don't have a gunbarrell look at all. No sculptured round lines on the inner walls of the barrell. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if they create something new or don't at all for B24 and Beyond.

None. Craig is just laughably bad while trying to do something that actually is Bond like. Brosnan did gun barrel by far the best. It really did make you say "James Bond" when you watched it. Sean didn't do gun barrel did he?
