2008 story in the Telegraph

A sample:

"I've been an avid fan of Marc's, and his movies, from Kite Runner to Monster's Ball to Neverland, are all incredibly different," he says. "He and I had long conversations, and we knew that we wanted to make the most stylish and most beautiful Bond movie we could. We needed to go to the best locations and get the best actors and we needed to leave a proper mark on this franchise because we owed it to the Bond fans.

"I worked on the script a huge amount with Marc. We have taken a very stylistic concept of what Bond movies were and added a modern feel. It would be wrong to make a movie like this without all the modern technology available, but the style is definitely reminiscent of 1960s' spy and political thrillers."

Ah nothing changes, Seems he's still spouting the same crap about Skyfall.
He loves Mendes, has worked on the script with him, has a real 60's feel and lots of humor.
I wonder how long his nose will be by the premier.

Favorite Bond Movie: My top 7 (or should I say, 007!): FYEO, FRWL, TWINE, NSNA, TLD, GE, OP
But really, any Bond film with Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Dalton or Brosnan is fine.
Favorite Movies: Lawrence of Arabia, Silence of the Lambs, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, My Fair Lady, Beauty and the Beast, In Bruges, Ripley's Game, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, Life of Brian, Dirty Harry

I often wonder if these sheister types even remember what crap they spouted off last week, much less that the crap they're spouting off about this movie is the same as the crap they spouted off about the last movie. . .

Scary. Change the data and names it could be from today.

Knowing Bond films and how the directors change and Bond essentially remained the same and if a movie was not their best they;d quietly back way from it. it points out the one constant of today's movies, Craig. Craig has got to the the driving force behind these two movies, I don't think it's a good thing.

Chief of Staff, 007's gone round the bend. Says someone's been trying to feed him a poisoned banana. Fellow's lost his nerve. Been in the hospital too long. Better call him home.

Excerpt (it's in Q and A format)

/////
You’re about to start shooting the new Bond film. How do you feel about it? Is there a sense of ‘Hell, here we go for the next seven months…’ just because it’s such a massive undertaking?

‘Yes, there’s definitely some of that, but I’m genuinely really excited because we’ve got a script. The deciding factor for doing “Casino Royale”, even though I was umming and aahhing, going [puts on moody voice] “I don’t know if I want to do it”, was that they showed me the script and I thought: f**k, I’ve got to do this. And I think this one is better. I really do. It’s a totally original story. I read it and it just works as a story. It sounds like a simplistic thing to say, but you read it and you go: “Oh yeah, I get that, yeah, and oh, yes, yes, okay,” and that’s unusual.’

It seems that the script is sometimes an after-thought on huge productions.

‘Yes and you swear that you’ll never get involved with s**t like that, and it happens. On “Quantum”, we were fucked. We had the bare bones of a script and then there was a writers’ strike and there was nothing we could do. We couldn’t employ a writer to finish it. I say to myself, “Never again”, but who knows? There was me trying to rewrite scenes – and a writer I am not.’

You had to rewrite scenes yourself?

‘Me and the director [Marc Forster] were the ones allowed to do it. The rules were that you couldn’t employ anyone as a writer, but the actor and director could work on scenes together. We were stuffed. We got away with it, but only just. It was never meant to be as much of a sequel as it was, but it ended up being a sequel, starting where the last one finished.’

It was still a massive commercial success though. So it wasn’t a failure in that sense.

‘No, quite. Thank God it worked, and it worked like gangbusters. But for me personally, on a level of feeling satisfied, I would want to do better next time. That’s really important to me.’

Has anyone owned up to writing the "come and see my stationery" line?
