I appreciate he will look even older by then, but I think he will do a 4th Bond film. I know this is not what everyone here wants to hear, but that is my gut feeling.

A 5th is a stretch, so I'm taking this comment by Wilson as the usual positive spin comments during production to build up hype. No way on earth will Craig do 8 films, but another film is looking likely, assuming Skyfall hits similar numbers to Craig's other 2 films.
Kind of you to put it this way Sween. I think every Bond actor is only as good as their last film. Obviously Barbara and Michael have an interest in Craig beyond the usual, they started a fan civil war and have had to fight for just about everything since with the studio. Part of the problem to my mind is they are too unwilling to change with the times as producers. I am not talking about not using 3D, I happen to think they are right not to leap on this fad (watch Michael come out tomorrow to say 'it's 3D cause that fans love Daniel's face so much!' ) . What I mean is they make movies like they are still in the 1970's, they got away with it in the 1990's because times were good, times are not so good right now, the studio almost collapsed twice since 2004 and Eon productions has to have 200 million dollars to make a movie. Granted it is not the money it used to be still it is a hunk of change.

What worries me about Eon is they have no plan beyond the next moment, they rush into production with unfinished scripts and quite possibly their attachment to a man will cost all of us the series. Still I think this fluff about Criag is the usual MGW smoke and mirrors, I remember talk of Piece surpassing the Moore record, however that was so long ago now it is hard to imagine one actor staying for more than three or four films.

Well, quite. I think Skyfall will have a smaller budget than QOS, whatever Barbie and Ken say to the contrary, simply because I can't see any reason why anyone would actually give them $400 million.

Found a few funny replies to cregg mitchell on him staying on

Terrible news..Craig is more Eastenders than Bond..We need another Connery or Moore the Best Bonds of all time. Craig has neither the look the class the charm or indeed the humour needed for this role.

Bond requires style, class, sophitication and to be super smooth, sorry this new guy aint got it.....he just aint.

I guess it depends on what you expect from Bond, I dont want a book copy they should do what they have been doing and lose the new guy, he's rubbnish in my book.

Goldeneye still the best!!

I disagree with Wilson's assessment of Craig's portrayal of Bond. Craig may be an excellent actor, but he's not 'Bond' -- to the point where my friends and I left the theatre part way through his first outing as the iconic character. Of course, they already had our money.

It may just have been the way it was presented, too, and nothing to do with Craig. Hard to tell, when you're sitting in the theatre getting more bored and disgusted.

They left David Niven off the list of Bonds, too. ;-)

Brosnan was the best of the best! Craig is somewhere after Timothy Dalton....

I dont want to see anymore of him...bring back Pierce brosnan...

poor very poor this guy has no charm! we need gerard butler or someone simular! he is the worst looking bond so far.

why not give other guys a chance? Ronnie Corbett, Lionel Blair, Dale Winton..

This is the clown that Killed the Bond Movies

i havent seen the last Bond movie due to his wooden acting.his acting is so bad i walked out of the first one he done,so i definetly wont be going to see the next or further five.the only contract this Danial Craig should get is for Cuprinol as hes so wooden.

Johnny English is better than him !!

didnt he start out cutting hair on some itv drivvle.

The producers and directors of the bond films must be mad to put Craig in the role of Bond is doesn't come anywere near Connery,More and Brosnan, I for one will not be watching any more Bond films if this is all they can come up with.

Sorry, but DC isn't 'Bond' in my eyes... Sean, followed by Pierce, Roger & Timothy - in that order - were all far better and MUCH closer to Ian Fleming's character... It gets me why film producers decide a book's character is worthy of the big screen and then suddenly decide to change everything about him/her! Okay, some may say he needs to be 'up to date' but the time-line in the novels is, for me, part of the appeal!

the best baddies were in roger films, without roger films there would be no jaws! odd job! scaramanga, grace jones for god sake, major dextor, hugo drax, kamhel khan.....bonds are judged on the baddies too and roger moore bonds are the best end of....!

dont rate him as a Bond, better than Dalton who in my opinion was the worst bond to ever, but nowhere near connery or moore, yes he's got an edgyness to him than connery had, but he's just not the ladies man brosnan moore and connery were

He's too short

For me, roger moore is the best james bond ever! followed by pierce brosnan... James bond is a natural chamer and a gentle man as potrayed in the book.Daniel makes him (BOND) look more like a brute...

'The fans love him...' Not this one. Can't stand the guy in whatever film he's in. The Bond films he's been in weren't that good anyway, so won't be looking out for any more.

last guy was best

i dont trust people with blue eyes, i dont even look at them. hes a good acter but he looks german

OMG WHY?? He's the worst bond ever

Yeah right if they looking to kill of the series. If the next Bond films is as bad as Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace it think its time to call it a day.
Bond....James bond....Rest in peace (1964-2002)

Ugh. I gave up after CR and was glad to miss qos. They really have no idea what they've done do they. They cut off a heck of a lot of fans from giving them money every two years.

Fat Seagal is best as the next unofficial James Bond.

Daniel Craig in his 8th Bond movie could be really fat with a big coat, jet black hair and two inches worth of fake tan.

I hope he stays on long! Roger Moore getting seven films was a pretty big feat and I'd like to have another Bond actor have as much, maybe even more! I was worried when Brosnan quit, because how could they find an actor who's just as great maybe even better? Daniel Craig was a MARVELOUS choice and continued the tradition of bringing in quality performances that is demanded for a Bond role.

Tom Mankiewicz once gave EON advice to lock up Craig in the role and throw away the key. Could not have said it any more delicately! They must honor his demand. Cheers to EON if they can keep up the great work they have been upholding for 50 years.

Sir Roger was able to have a long run as Bond because he made popular, varied traditional Bond films. Daniel Craig can only make one sort of boring po-faced modern action thriller and new style of Bond should have come to an end after QOS which got awful reviews and is widely regarded as the worst ever Bond film. So I'm not sure that Craig could beat Sir Roger's record.
Bring back Bond!

True but TMWTGG wasn't too popular either and Sir Rog rebounded in a big way! I'm sure Craig can do the same. :)

I don't think DC is very popular with the general public, especially here in the US.
