QOS gets a 12A

QOS gets a 12A

Postby Kristatos » Tue Oct 14, 2008 7:46 pm

It's now official. From the BBFC website:

"This film was originally seen by the BBFC in an unfinished version, for advice as to the film's suitability at '12A'. The BBFC advised the company that the film would most likely receive a '12A' as it was, but that care should be taken when finishing the film not to increase the intensity of certain scenes. When the completed version of the film was submitted for classification, reductions to one of those scenes had been made and the film was passed '12A' without cuts."
"The whole idea of the Bond films--and I don't know if they haven't lost a bit of that now--was that they were paperback films, as it were." - Peter Hunt

BBFC = British Board of Film Classification. And yes, the film will be a PG-13 in the States.

One review (the Express and Star) said that this was not a family movie and quite violent.

Yeah I've been hearing the same.
I've lost all interest in this :( might rent it but it might be better if I never see it :(

My problem was the violence at the end. That was more sadistic than younger kids should be exposed to. It need a R rating in my opinion.

It a "bond" film and not Harry potter, but I still expect plenty were surprised by level of violence

I was shocked by how violent it was, especially on reviewings.(not that there have been many of those...) CR was most definitely not a "family friendly" movie :P
