Post by Kristatos »

Posted on alt.fan.james-bond - a Youtube video of the TMWTGG credits re-edited over Alice Cooper's rejected theme song for the film.

I think I prefer Lulu, although that wasn't a classic either. I think John Barry said The Man With The Golden Gun was his least favourite Bond theme but I didn't think it was that bad.

If the song is played slower, it sounds more like a traditional Bond song, and would have been much improved as a title. Note the instrumentals in TMWTGG as this theme is played slowly.

It could also have been rendered like YOLT, a nice rhythm.
You move very well for a dead man, Mr Bond
Kill him!

Are you talking about the Lulu or the Alice Cooper song?

After reading this thread i went over to YOU TUBE to listen to Alice Coopers TMWTGG song.
I was a little surprised as i was expecting it to be good, but it was very dissapointing, and i'am not surprised that the producers went for Lulu's song.

Talking about Lulu's song in credits. Although of course they could have used a different singer and entirely different arrangement. The melody itself is Barry 'at least good enough.'
