Lots of people have rented Downfall on DVD as a result of seeing the parodies on YouTube. I haven't seen it yet, but people have told me it's a good movie.

I got a warning for my last post here, I stand accused of posting links to illegal downloading sites. I plead not guilty. There is nothing illegal about keepvid.com or the software mentioned.

Nothing is wrong with it as long as nobody intends change anything and redistribute it. If you watched a Youtube video you already have a copy on your hard dive, this is a way to save it to watch later not flaunt laws.

I am not going to argue legality. The content we are talking about is something the copyright holders are requesting be removed.

I do not think you were trying to violate our standards of conduct, I also don't doubt for a moment what you posted was done with the best intentions but I agree with the decision. It may be questionable or it may be legal, for us it is not a grey area. Sorry.

I don't think it is fair because I wasn't doing anything wrong. What I put up linked to nothing more "questionable" than posting links to youtube videos. If I had put links for torrents or file shares for hacked programs then I would deserve a warning for "posting links to illegal downloading sites". Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean you should take it out on me!
