It's also not a bad movie.Kristatos wrote:Seraphim Falls is on BBC1 tomorrow at some stupid hour (I think it's around midnight).
I watched it a while back and Pierce is quite good in it.
Strange to have a western setting, with two Irishman in the lead roles.
Re: Pierce Brosnan UK TV Listings
Yeah, it's a pretty good film until the third act, when it takes a somewhat bizarre left turn that threatens to derail the whole movie.

Yes I agree, a poor final act. Not sure what they were thinking. Lost any tension that was created.
But still worth a watch.
Pierce should make more movies like this. Instead of dtv films like Butterfly on a wheel.
'The Ghost Writer' looks like it might be worth a watch. Coupled with Ewan McGregor, Pierce may have a chance to do some actual acting. I find he can be rather good, given a decent script and good supporting cast. Pity his Bond films weren't the same. Could've been so much better. Pierce always looked like he was being held back. Which is such a shame. He was a good Bond, but never got a great script after GE, or a decent cast.

That's why I'd love to have seen him in a non-reboot CR, where he could have really flexed his acting muscles.

I've been meaning to watch Taffin (FBF mentioned it) for ages and put the TV on about 1 in the morning and saw that it had been on BBC1 for about an hour.
I'll have to find a DVD.

I think it's a small film.Omega wrote:I am not familiar with Taffin does it have another name here? Doesn't matter I'll look it up on IMDb later. I don't remember seeing this movie around is all.
It was just on BBC1 again. And I missed it again. I'll have to get a DVD copy.
It only has 5 stars on IMDB; it looks like someone gave it one out of ten which bumped down the rating.
