Needs a blockbuster
Although Pierce has a successful post-Bond career, he needs a blockbuster, something like Sean Connery's The Rock. His last blockbuster was Die Another Day, and he's going to need them to shut those Pro-Craig minions up.

Pierce has done quite well, and gets a few nice roles. I suppose Mamma Mia! could be regarded as a blockbuster!
Bring back Bond!

Beating Titanic in the UK, I'd say that qualifies. I'm pretty sure it has made more than $400 million worldwide, which is usually regarded as the threshold for a blockbuster.carl stromberg wrote:Pierce has done quite well, and gets a few nice roles. I wish Pierce would do something like Sean Connery's The Rock.

Is The Topkapi Affair still going ahead? I haven't heard anything about it for a while. I agree that it'd be nice to see him in an action-oriented movie again, which I assume is what you meant.FormerBondFan wrote:I wish Pierce would do something like Sean Connery's The Rock.

Re: Needs a blockbuster
Pierce doesn't have that much action movies outside of Bond.
Re: Needs a blockbuster
I think he used Bond to finance the smaller, more personal Irish Dreamtime projects, and will probably do the same with Mamma Mia and The Topkapi Affair if it gets made.FormerBondFan wrote:Pierce doesn't have that much action movies outside of Bond.

He is to star as a Greek God in Percy Jackson (Brosnan not Kristatos!) which has been called the "next Harry Potter". That may be a blockbuster, although Pierce may not be the leading man in at as you wanted FBF.

He's second billed on IMDb. Sean Bean plays Zeus!carl stromberg wrote:He is to star as a Greek God in Percy Jackson (Brosnan not Kristatos!) which has been called the "next Harry Potter". That may be a blockbuster, although Pierce may not be the leading man in at as you wanted FBF.
