"When a British businessman and his family are killed in Japan, James Bond suspects a mass assassination. Investigating with the help of beautiful Japanese agent Reiko Tamura and his old friend Tiger Tanaka, Bond discovers that two powerful factions controlled by the mysterious terrorist Goro Yoshida are playing God. Between them they have created the perfect weapon, one small and seemingly insignificant enough to strike anywhere, unnoticed. With an emergency G7 summit meeting just days away, it's a race against time as Bond confronts both man and nature in a desperate bid to stop the release of a deadly virus that could destroy the Western world"

If Benson continues writing Bond novels after The Man With The Red Tattoo, what would he titled them?

He had a unique way of naming them that's for sure.

Zero Minus Ten
The Facts of Death
High Time to Kill
Doubleshot
Never Dream of Dying

The Man With the Red Tatoo

Mr Benson has a fun blog on his research into this book.... Japan Air Lines / Tourist Board / Benesse Island (featured in the book) millionaire, etc. all roll out the red carpet for him. He even meets Mie Hama! A good plot and very engaging as an adventure story : I read it in one day. Tiger Tanaka returns; Bond returns ... but both are quite flat in their personalities. A likable Bond girl, a shock she does die; I must say this was a big risk on Benson's part, but it works. Then again, Bond then "has to" bed a spoiled 20 year old heiress. Benson goes into tourist mode, and it seems one is reading a brochure at times. But it's a good try, but lacking in the magic of the central character. See Benson's 'From Japan with Love' ... it's more fun than the book.

oos... sorry for opening this as a 'new topic' as I see (and didn't previously) there is already a Red Tatoo here! Please to move this post or trash it!
You move very well for a dead man, Mister Bond

Kill him!
Kill Bond! Now!!!
