TheRealBond.com Viral Proves Daniel Craig is Great James Bond, but Not 'The Real Bond'

Despite initial criticism for being inelegant, bawdy and blonde, Daniel Craig proved a worthy 007 in blockbuster hit Casino Royal. But according to a survey conducted by VIPLoungeCasino.com (www.VIPLoungeCasino.com) and website The Real Bond (www.TheRealBond.com), Brosnan is still the people's favorite.

San Jose, CR (PRWEB) February 2, 2007 -- Despite initial criticism for being inelegant, bawdy and blonde, Daniel Craig proved a worthy 007 in blockbuster hit Casino Royal. But according to a survey conducted by VIPLoungeCasino.com (www.VIPLoungeCasino.com) and website The Real Bond (www.TheRealBond.com), Brosnan is still the people's favorite.

Never before has the Ian Fleming character been anything but tall, dark, handsome, suave and sophisticated, and to mark Hollywood's break from this tradition, TheRealBond.com has parodied a conflict between the Bonds through a series of videos in which Pierce Brosnan sabotages Daniel Craig at the Oscars, on a photo shoot, at the poker table, underwater, and in his Aston Martin.

VIPLoungeCasino.com, the online casino with the "double O" theme, commissioned the videos as a thank you to the players of their super-agent-themed online casino. The videos were an instant hit amongst the players at the site, and were soon published across the web on social network and entertainment sites including MySpace and YouTube, causing an internet-wide controversy.

One YouTube viewer commented, "Why do people who love Brozza hate Craig? It is not Craig's fault that Brozza is too old to be Bond. Having a man crush on Brozza is all right but this?..."

While VIPLoungeCasino.com applauds Craig's excellent performance in what some regard as the most action-packed Bond film yet, its players have asked casino manager Christopher di Angelo to keep their classic "Double O" theme at the online casino until Craig proves himself in the upcoming 2008 Bond film, currently referred to as Bond 22.

"Our players seem to like Daniel Craig, but they don't yet associate Craig with the James Bond character. Personally, Sean Connery is my version of Bond. The test for me is to ask yourself who you think of when someone ask for a martini 'shaken, not stirred'," according to di Angelo.

Obviously a site called "TheRealBond" aimed at "anti-Craigs" would find Brosnan a better Bond.

I don't think these sites are "anti-Craig".They like "Craig, but don't assoiciate him with the James Bond character". The Brosnan/Craig flash cartoon was quite funny.

VIPLoungeCasino.com commisioned the videos. I wonder if this has been mentioned on the other Bond forums. I couldn't be bothered to look!

I agree with this review.

Craig is a good actor, but he isn't James Bond.

Lots of people, even those who loved Casino Royale seemed to think that Craig wasn't James Bond. As Paul Morley said, Craig looks like someone who James Bond would meet in the Mi6 corridor....

He certainly wasn't in CR. I hope Bond 22 is more like the Bond in the first 20 Bond films.

So if Craig's not Bond. Then who's going to play James Bond in Bond 22?

Were Connery and Moore not worthy for the lack of that aspect?

Moore may have had light brown hair, but Connery certainly had dark hair. not quite black. but I think both actors were handsome guys. Connery certainly had the most rugged good looks of any of the Bond actors. most women I know still find him sexy, even at his advanced age.

I think stockslivevan was referring to the fact that it was somebody else's hair

When did Sir Sean adopt the rug?
“I'd like to thank the Royal Marines for bringing me in like that and scaring the s--- out of me,” Bond Hardman Daniel Craig.
