Goran Visnjic rumoured for Bond 22 villain role

MEDIA RUMOUR
According to a Croatian newspaper this week, "when auditioning for Bond in Casino Royale, Goran Visnjic did such a good job he burned into the minds of the EON psyche. So powerful was his performance that he single handly won the role of next Bond Baddie in the upcoming Bond22 film with Daniel Craig."

"It is rumoured that Goran's agent has confirmed the star is working on something massive and will be taking a well earned break from ER in late 2007. It is rumoured that Goran will be playing Vesper Lynd's former love interest and that his role will be sizable, meanacing and significant to the plot of the upcoming Bond adventure. Bond 22 is continuation of Casino Royale and will be forming a trilogy story for Daniel Craig's rough and tough Bond."

Casting director Debbie McWilliams confirmed to the Australian press in December that Goran Visnjic was screentested for the Bond role but was 'just too young'.

Visnjic reportedly quit his role in the hit television series "ER" earlier this week.

Could make a good Bond villain.
But as this is only a rumour we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Goran is a lot prettier than Craig so they'd have to go for a shaven head or scar or something, assuming of course that there is any truth in this story.

As Goran is tall dark and handsome, I presume he would have to wear some panto villian make-up.

I think he would have made a great Bond; but I think I am probably alone in that opinion - he seemed to get more abuse than Craig in the run-up to his casting.

He would have made a terrible Bond, infact I may even have boycotted Casino Royale. :P
Nahh I wouldn't do that, , but I wouldn't have liked his casting.
As for the make up, it isn't required, he just has to be able to hold his own in a scene with a very good actor, playing the coolest spy in the world.

Visnjic as Lynn's boyfriend could be good, what I would have problem with is twisting him from an unfortunate sap captured and unwittingly used to a villain.

The other problem is Visnjic and Craig on the same screen, they might have to ugly Visnjic up a little so the audience doesn't get confused or wonder why Visnjic isn't Bond ;)

Not if he was the main villain. The henchmen are usually grotesques, but the main villain doesn't have to be. And Visnjic has the requisite foreign accent, so if anybody was wondering why he wasn't Bond, all he'd have to do is open his mouth.
