Colbert Likens Newt Gingrich Proposals To A James Bond Plot

Stephen Colbert on Monday gave Newt Gingrich a big tip of his hat for thinking up new ways to scare America.

Namely, the threat of an electromagnetic pulse (EMP): a nuclear device, detonated at a high altitude that would knock out all electronic devices in a huge area. That would lead to the “unthinkable,” Colbert said: “We would have to listen to those Amish bas***ds say ‘we told ye so.’”

But Newt’s not the only one afraid of an “EMP-mageddon.” So is James Bond. “Yes, Bond. James Bond agrees with Gingrich. Newt Gingrich. And just like Bond, Gingrich is calm under pressure, a little cocky and is frequently seen with different leading ladies.”

Gingrich’s lunar-oriented proposals sound a lot like the plots of “Moonraker” and “Die Another Day.” “It just occured to me,” Colbert said. “All of those schemes were from the villains!”

I miss the Colbert Report. I used to watch it most days when I lived in the States, but it's not shown over here any more :(

The've blocked it. I'm sure there's a way around it, but I'm not that tech-savvy. Think I'd avoid tonight's edition anyway, the guest is one D. Craig esquire.

Kris you can try http://proxify.com/ just make sure you enable scripts and ads because they are automatically disabled.
I was able to watch his Christmas cam with it a few minutes ago. "To all my Jewish viewers; Happy Jesus's Birthday"

I could tell you how to build your own proxy but it gets complicated but this should to work with out all the hassle. Is Hulu available over there?
