Daniel Craig calls Pierce Brosnan the best Bond ever

Post by ID »

From the ScreenNews site;

New Bond Daniel Craig has admitted that his predecessor Pierce Brosnan made stepping into James Bond's shoes all the more difficult. The 39 year old British actor who made his 007 debut in Casino Royale named Brosnan as his favourite Bond. "Pierce set the whole thing up," said Craig. "He made the franchise more popular than ever and made it a lot more difficult for us with the new film. He's a bloody good actor and a tough act to follow." Craig named From Russia With Love as his favourite Bond film and said his favourite gadget was Roger Moore's magnetic watch from Live and Let Die. The next Bond film is scheduled for release in 2008.

I doubt this is true, as most people usually nod their heads to Connery as their favourite Bond.

This is no disrespect to Brosnan though, and if it is true, that's nice of Daniel to say....... 8)

Rumbled. I knew I should have gone for the Daniel Craig set to become the new Tarzan! story instead.

To tell you the truth, it didn't sound that implausible to me, just the sort of thing that actors tend to say about each other during press conferences. Now, if he'd actually meant it, that would have been a different matter.

I knew something was rotting in Denmark. The whole quote was basically a rearranged version of Craig praising Connery's Bond. :lol:

I'm always dubious when there is no link provided to the site being quoted.
As it was April fools day it only seemed natural ID was pulling our legs.
You jester you.

I think you should have gone for the 'Kristatos says Roger Moore is the best Bond ever, closely followed by Daniel Craig' story.
