What is your favourite Autobiography or biography?

Following a request from Carl 'kick my ass if I don't' Stromberg you can include biography's too.

Does Clive James's Unreliable Memoirs count? James himself describes it as "a novel masquerading as an autobiography".

If I said YES, would you say it's your favourite?

My personal favourite is 'Keane' refering to the one and only Roy Keane. Very honest, brutal at times and extremely interesting if you like that sort of thing.

Enoch Powell's bio of Joseph Chamberlain is also a favourite. "All political careers end in faliure", the author said.
The subject is autobiographies, not plain vanilla biographies.

I'd say it's a toss-up between that and No Blacks, No Irish, No Dogs by John Lydon.

Harry Thompson wrote two of my favourites - of Herge, and Peter Cook. He (Thompson) sadly died at quite a young age.
The Thompson Peter Cook bio is a splendid read.

I recently read 'Blair'. I was amazed at how close Tony and GB actually were, before the labour leadership. For anyone interested in politics, I would recommend this book.

I've been meaning to read the Alistair Campbell Blair years diaries; I watched the TV program on them.

Admittedly, diaries are off-topic.

I've always wanted to read 'When the snow melts'
Anyone ever read it?
Or have any tips on how I could get a copy?
