There's going to be a movie based on World War Z with Brad Pitt as the producer.

I had a look on Google and saw that J. Michael Straczynski is involved. Should be good - I loved Crusade.FormerBondFan wrote:There's going to be a movie based on World War Z with Brad Pitt as the producer.

Re: World War Z
On the Max Brooks Wikipedia it say: "Brooks explains that he will not be writing the screenplay for the motion picture, as he feels he is not an accomplished enough screenwriter to "do it right." But maybe he will have some role; I don;t think he will disown the film and moan like Alan Moore does!

Unless it turns out to be as bad as most of the films made from Moore's work.carl stromberg wrote:I don't think he will disown the film and moan like Alan Moore does!

Re: World War Z
There's a new book out called The Passage by Justin Cronin which has been described as a cross between World War Z and The Stand. I have a copy but I haven't read it yet.

Re: World War Z
Brooks doesn't know much about weapons. They're entertaining, but unrealistic.

Zombie Squad is an elite zombie suppression task force ready to defend your neighborhood from the shambling hordes of the walking dead. We provide trained, motivated, skilled zombie extermination professionals and zombie survival consultants. Our people and our training are the best in the industry.
When the zombie removal business is slow we focus our efforts towards educating ourselves and our community about the importance of disaster preparation. If you are prepared for zombies, you're prepared for anything.
To satisfy this goal we host disaster relief charity fundraisers, disaster preparation seminars and volunteer our time towards emergency response agencies.
Our goal is to educate the public about the importance of personal preparedness and self reliance, to increase its readiness to respond to disasters such as Earthquakes, Floods, Terrorism or Zombie Outbreaks. We want to make sure you are prepared for any crisis situation that might come along in your daily life which may include having your face eaten by the formerly deceased.

It's said WWZ will have a different storyline as compared to the book.
