The essential Bond book -or a name close to that.
Checked that book out of the school library so much the liberian advised me to broaden my reading interests.

I must get hold of a copy of The Authorised Biography of 007 by John Pearson. Anyone read it?

The Bond Files is a pretty good pocket reference guide. I need a more up-to-date copy, though. Mine only goes up to TND in the films section.

 I remember in school, I was 14 or so. Our history teacher was a pretty cute young lady of about 25, and single. Anyway, one day I was reading OHMSS in class and showing the girl next to me the part when 007 is in Ruby's bed. She giggled (the girl, not Ruby). The teacher came over and said blandly, "Oh, yes, I've read some of the books." The giggler put the book down, blushing. A lot of teachers would have said, "Put that trash away, this is my class!" So I've always had a soft spot for her.

(Another time, the teacher was absent and the substitute was a young guy. One of the students commented about our teacher, "Yeah, she's really cute." That was something from a sit-com. The substitute just went, Um.)
