That, alongside him looking more like Bond than Hiddleston, is one of the reasons why I like the choice. Aidan Turner would have something of an X-Factor whereas Tom Hiddleston, for me, would be harder to accept as Bond because we've seen him in so many things already. Plus, I think you sort of already know what a Hiddleston Bond would be like.

Who you think will get it? As much as I'm a fan of Tuner as Bond he's just the prototype.

Especially if EON still monitors this place. They might be thinking "Aidan's great, but we wouldn't want to make the DCINB crowd happy".

A little Bond talk at the end. Very Interesting. (I will post this is the Tom Cullen thread as well)

Caterina Munro on Craig. I read somewhere else that she said the producers are looking at someone with a thetre background which could point to Hiddleston.

Here is a bit of fun

Tom just wants to be more famous to become Bond

Hiddleston has been considered a shoo in for Bond since he was first linked to the role earlier this year, but bookies seem to think Irish actor Aidan Turner is all but a guarantee to be the next 007. The British actor might have a cult fanbase thanks to The Night Manager, but he doesn’t have the worldwide acclaim you might expect from one of the most iconic roles in film.

You know what would fix that? A fling with the most powerful squad leader in pop music.

She wants to sing on the Bond soundtrack

Adele won an Oscar for Skyfall and while Taylor might be a bonafide superstar, Bad Blood isn’t winning any Academy Awards anytime soon. A link to Hiddleston might bring her to the top of the list.

Word ia Aidan Turner signed up for season 3 of Polark. Some seem to think this rliminates him. from potentially being. Bond but couldnt he do both? Alao, Im still shocked Rupert Friend is so under the raxar as a potential Bond. Dan Stevens and Tom Cullen to theres three exceptional candidates that arent even getting mentioned.

It sounds like the Beeb wants to make sure that they get Turner for at least one more series of Poldark, which makes me think that he actually stands a serious chance of getting the Bond role. But I'm not going to get too excited.

You're of the belief that one more season of Poldark helps his Bond chances?

It's more that the BBC seem to be preparing for the possibility of Turner becoming Bond. Would they be in as much of a hurry to sign him again if they didn't think he was in the frame? I just hope they don't pull a Remington Steele on him, and stop him from becoming Bond because they want him for themselves. Hopefully, he has a savvier agent than Pierce did at the time.

The timing of his filming of season 3 of Poldark will be crucial. Also, wanted to ask did you ever read that Tom Cullen interview. Interesting he stated "they know where to find me." That statement leads me to believe hes in the frame somehow.

Another few days yet another name has surfaced. Now Jack Huston is being bandied about as a potential Bond favorite. I think he has potential.
