Another good choice. I think he would have been just as successful as Craig. With a more traditional Bond look.Kristatos wrote:James Purefoy. He screen tested for Goldeneye, and is a huge Bond fan. He wouldn't have considered the role beneath him.tbp82 wrote:Who was your favorite before Craig was cast?

Re: BOND #7
I think 40 is the limit for BOND #7.tbp82 wrote:As far as Bond #7 goes how much do you think age matters as opposed to looks going back to Connery and Moore Moore looked younger than Connery when he took the role in Live and Let Die despite being 3 years older than Connery. Is it possible that someone who is older but looks younger could actually be cast as Bond #7 as Moore was as Bond #3? There's plenty of guys older or around Craigs age that look younger than him.
Re: BOND #7
Do you mean 40 right now or 40 at the time they are cast? How much of a difference would say 43 be to 40? Just asking do you think a few years would make that much of a difference

40 at the time they are cast, because then actor can make 5 or even 6 movies...43 is LITTLE too old.tbp82 wrote:Do you mean 40 right now or 40 at the time they are cast? How much of a difference would say 43 be to 40? Just asking do you think a few years would make that much of a difference

He is 34, time is on his side...
Re: BOND #7
Absolutely, but could be sooner than we think. Still rumblings Craig may retire. With that being stated did you see Hitman Agent 47?

Re: BOND #7
I haven't seen it but I think it's being released in a few weeks so I may pick it up just to see. Is there any particular character that made you see him as a potential Bond like Agent 47 or Peter Quinn or is it just rumuors he had tested for the part before and you just started checking out his work.ml94 wrote:Yeah, GREAT "screentest" for him.tbp82 wrote:Absolutely, but could be sooner than we think. Re: BOND #7
Obviously, a new Bond actor would be needed, if Craig was to leave. If he was to leave, it would delay the production of the next film, by maybe, a full extra year. Which would result in Bond 25, being released at the end of 2019, instead.tbp82 wrote:The article states "wants to continue with Craig" I took that to mean they could continue without Craig meaning a new Bond would have to be in mind regardless of when we get the next movie.
But, as I've said before, on numerous occasions, in this forum; Daniel Craig isn't going anywhere else, soon. Even, Pierce Brosnan, who can identify with him, and knows how feels after making a Bond film (physically drained) has said; "I think Daniel will be there for a while yet.”
Daniel Craig is a business man, it's as simple as that. He want's to be able to negotiate a contract with the studio(s), that pay him the highest fee, possible. If he was to announce to the public, something like "oh yes, I love playing James Bond, I'll definitely do another one", he'd be shooting himself in the foot. He'd be offered peanuts, if the studio(s) thought he was so keen and willing and didn't care about money. Historically, all the James Bond actor's from the past, who got this far into their tenure, behaved in a similar fashion. It's a game.Think about it!
You've already demonstrated to me; you're ignorance and lack of understanding, on what making a film entails. Making a Bond film is a mammoth task for those involved. So far; EON have no title and no script for the next Bond film-virtually ZERO anything, except for the usual likely characters. They have to build from the ground up, next Spring and onwards (the little quote, you completely misinterpreted the meaning of).
As for Daniel Craig, confirming if he will continue; that might not be until this time next year.

Both: tested for the part before & "bond(ian)" roles like quinn and hitman...tbp82 wrote:I haven't seen it but I think it's being released in a few weeks so I may pick it up just to see.
