Idris Elba and Damian Lewis are always mentioned in the media; but they are weird choices.

Rupert Friend was mentioned as you said, and someone put a big bet on Sam Riley recently.

Henry Cavill is still here.

Sadly Hugh Jackman is 47 now.

We may have another 10 year wait as Craig probably fancies another big payday and the media attention that he gets from Bond.

FRIEND & RILEY are realistical choices on your list...

I doubt there is much going on behind the scenes at the moment. My guess is that Barbara will be hoping to get two more films out of Craig. Groan.

Tom Hardy is mentioned too. As well as Michael Fassbender, but I don't think he would do it.

I didn't like Henry Cavill in Superman but man he is awesome in Man From UNCLE!

So, Henry Cavill is my fave to become the next James Bond!

 Now, what if the last son of Krypton landed in the UK instead and are taken in by the MI6 to be trained as a spy?

John Cleese once wrote an Elseworlds graphic novel where Kal-El lands in Britain, and is prevented from becoming Superman by the British obsession with not making waves. As far as his adoptive parents are concerned, using his superpowers would be "showing off". I suspect Cleese was exorcising some personal demons there.

Hmmm, I have to look for that one! Like Cleese's works. Sounds like it should be a good idea for a movie. LOL

I don't think they do, otherwise, Craig would never be casted. :?
