Alex O'Loughlin

Another one of the young candidates who got a lot of press when the casting was going on for Casino Royale. Would he have made a good rookie James Bond?

Might make a good contender to take over from Craig.
Let's just hope he's the right height and has the correct hair colour to avoid yet another dummy spit.

There would be no complaints from me if O'Loughlin was Bond number 7. I suspect though that Bond number 7 is someone not currently on our radar. (In all likelyhood some bozo that Barbara bumps into in a supermarket and takes a fancy to).

I saw O'Loughlin (when he was still billed as O'Lachlan) in a television film a few years ago and thought he had Bond potential. I'd love to see his screentest or know how far he got in the audition process.

He's too tall to be Bond. Plus he's quite handsome.

There are worse choices (like DC), but he doesn't really do anything for me.

I liked him in Moonlight (shame they cancelled that show), I just don't see him as Bond. But then I never really "got" the enthusiasm for Clive Owen or Dougray Scott either. Good actors, just not Bond material to my eyes.

Well, the height thing is the least of my objections to Craig. The only time I even mention it is when I can get a cheap laugh.
