I would say that Connery set the template for Bond having dark, Celtic colouring. I dare to to tell Sir Sean to his face that he looks like a sassenach (Saxon).

Craig looks Norman in his looks. Almost he like he stepped off the Bayeux Tapestry.

Daniel Craig looks like one of those little stock eastern European villians a (Roger Moore) Simon Templar or Mr Steed would have to deal with in those 60's shows.
