Patrick Mower is an English actor who made lots of cult TV in the 60's and 70's.
I was flicking through his autiobiography in a shop the other day. It reads like one of those spoof memoir articles in Viz. Predictably he mentioned that he was up for the role of Bond. Apparently he was in line to take over in Diamonds Are Forever, but Sean came back. Then he was asked again after Roger had made two films. Then he was one of the 10,000 actors asked about the role in the 1980's.
Mower said he did a screentest. He also says he attended a meeting with Cubby Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson and his wife Barbara.
