Henry Cavill
So Henry Cavill made it into the final bunch of possible Bonds. And maybe he'll be the replacement for Daniel Craig when he finishes with the role.
But could anyone really accept this guy as Bond at present? He looks far too young and wet behind the ears to me.
His hair also looks to be receeding quickly for a 23 / 24 year old. By the time he could potentialy play OO7 he'll be bald.
Any thoughts on this Bond wannabe?

He should look like he's old enough to have passed University and reached the rank of Commander in the Navy, that's what what I meant by believably.carl stromberg wrote:James Bond is supposed to be "believable". That's a new one on me!Agreed, Bond has to be at least in his early 30s to be someone who's believably been through university and the navy.
I think they should get Ken Loach or Mike Leigh in to make Bond 22...

Why not test Craig alongside actors of his own age?
I found it odd that Butler never tested.

The Craigians would love that! Finally, they would get their dream of a Bond film completely devoid of glamour or excitement.carl stromberg wrote:James Bond is supposed to be "believable". That's a new one on me!

There has never been a Bond film like that. Why start now?Kristatos wrote:The Craigians would love that! Finally, they would get their dream of a Bond film completely devoid of glamour or excitement.carl stromberg wrote:James Bond is supposed to be "believable". That's a new one on me!

And why do you think that fans of Daniel Craig would want that?

It's difficult to say what will happen after DC relinquishes/Get's the push from the Bond role. I think Henry Cavill does look a little too young in Nash's picture to play a Rookie Bond, considering the time spent at Uni and in the Navy. Having said that Daniel Craig is way too old to be a Rookie Bond.
What will EON do after the Craig period? Will they want to do another Reboot with a younger actor? Or will they look for a seasoned actor to continue the continuity.

Thanks KristatosKristatos wrote:Don't know if they get Showtime out at Crab Key, but if they do, you can see him in The Tudors in a couple of weeks.Dr. No wrote: I'd want to see him in a movie first to get a feel for his acting.
No Showtime at Casa de No. We had it once but never watched it.
May get it back for the short term or rent the DVD when it's out.
For the good people who do have showtime:
"The Tudors"
A dramatic series about the reign and marriages of King Henry VIII.
Henry Cavill ... Charles Brandon (2 episodes)

More than likely.Capt. Sir Dominic Flandry wrote:I wonder if Henry Cavill is another Timothy Dalton/Pierce Brosnan type who is destined to play bond.
Although, if his career takes off like Owen/Butler etc, he may move on and become too big for Bond. I think the next Bond will be someone that has not been mentioned yet.
I suppose when you think about it, DC was probably never mentioned before Bond 21.
