Personally,I'd like to see Sam Worthington get the job, but they'll probably choose Cavill, who is good looking(so is Worthington).

Everyone seem to be talking about Cavill. I'd like to see more of him. What would CasinoRoy been like with him?a Bond actually looking like and being like a rookie not a guy who worked 20 for the post office or a retired royal Marine who then re-up-ed to work for M

Cavill would have aged a lot better than Craig!

Cavill very briefly mentions Bond in this interview.

From what I've seen of Craig and Worthington, I'm interested in seeing what his audtion turned out. With those two being good, I'm wondering if he was close to the same level.

For what it's worth, Martin Campbell apparently wanted Cavill to do Casino Royale.

I think he's quite cute, a bit too cute because he's only 27 now, so if he can age a bit first without losing his hair I think we may have a winner. :)
He's still no Pierce though... *sigh*

Thanks for stealing that from me back at MI6.

I've made a note of this.

They would have to age Cavill..or wait a few years..but they may have to do that anyways..he'll still be too young.

:D love that comparison photo, especially since there's Henry. MY BOND. And Broccoli is warned, this better happen, or else...!!!

May I add that you have quite an awful collection of Cavill photos in here, and OLD ones at that? Other than this latest one which is fine. But, I think I have a better one.. and I think it's very James Bond.

Image

Cavill is filming "The Cold Light of Day". I think they should end filming soon, principal photography started in Spain in September and they filmed throughout October. It's an action movie where he plays a young Wall Street trader who reluctantly goes on holiday to Spain with his family. Once there, family is kidnapped and he has only hours to uncover his father's secrets and save his family. There are filming photos, only a few. I will find the links and post them later. I think it's perfect that he has this movie out next year (his dad in the movie is played by Bruce Willis. Sigourney Weaver is also in the movie). It's his first leading role in an action movie like this, so it should be interesting to watch him. Not that I have any doubts that he should be Bond and that he IS Bond because of how he talks, moves, looks even without acting  But, this is good for those who have doubts I think. (provided the script is good).

Cavill is no doubt Bond for me, in each and every way. He's a good actor, started at 12, Shakespeare background. He's definitely got the attitude, the masculinity yet he is also incredibly handsome and sexy. And he's good in fighting scenes (seen him in both Tristan & Isolde and the Tudors). Bonus, in real life if he hadn't been an actor he would've joined the forces, and his brothers are in the forces... so he's definitely also got that "FOR ENGLAND" attitude naturally

Seriously.. to me he IS the next Bond. I wish he would start now already (per photo, it just depends on how old the photos are.. this is more recent and to me he doesn't look too young at all to be Bond in it), but.. Craig will most likely be doing another one. So in two or three years, he'll be perfect. It just better happen.. so I can finally see my dream man Bond again. A cocky, sexy, HANDSOME, stylish, suave.. son of a bitch. Who can kill in cold blood.. and love in a minute. Henry, may I be your Bond girl? :D

I'd like to see a younger actor in the role, especially after Craig. I really hope that Babs considers some of the younger actors like Cavill, instead of going to the fanboy boards(or having one of her minions do it. ) and making her list from that.

Good Lord, I hope that given the nasty situation EON is in and what they had to do to fix the bankruptcy, that Babs won't have NEARLY as much power on this the next time around. If Americans get more involved, it is certain Cavill (and other younger actors too) is going to have a big chance at being picked. He's got a good amount of popularity in the US due to the Tudors, and many casting directors hold him in high esteem. I swear if Babs screws this up AGAIN :cuss:

And, I can't say this elsewhere but... SERIOUSLY. I PRETEND someone young and bloody gorgeous the next time around, because after three movies of this old and UGLY looking dude who's got none of the characteristics Bond should have, I MUST be repaid.

And.. fanboy boards OMG seriously? Did she go read the site that shall not be mentioned the last time around? UNBELIEVABLE.

Oh btw, for our enjoyment, a clip I uploaded from the Tudors... with him escorting the King's sister to Portugal to marry a decrepit King... and flirting SHAMELESSLY (and then some) during a game of cards... I was just discussing this on another forum, that "pity, I had a winning hand" is just James Bond

I haven't watched the Tudors..I have it on my Christmas list so.. *fingers crossed* Never liked Jonathan Rhys Myers much for some reason.

Not that he would do it, plus he's already been suggested for Dr. Who, and his face is a bit too fine featured, but I think Sherlock, sorry, Benedict Cumberbatch would make a great Bond. He's 6 feet tall, and he has no problem dyeing his hair(he's naturally ginger)

I never liked Jonathan Rhys Meyers either, so you're not alone. I also think the fact Cavill is right next to him in the series does him no good  They try and make him be shirtless all the time but he's so much smaller and shorter than Cavill that it's like looking at a kid next to a man

I think the show is very good though. Historical inaccuracies are at a ridiculous level, but the costumes are great, the actors are all very good (and there are some really good actors like Sam Neill and Jeremy Northam in the first season) and it's very well-written. Needless to say, I watched it for Mr Cavill, so I tried to ignore the historical inaccuracies (that actually drive me nuts) and focus on him. I never got over the fact they made Anne Boleyn seem like a sort of poor saint, victim of a manipulative father, when instead she spent her whole life being a courtesan, and wanted nothing more than getting in the king's good graces (like every woman back then) and she was so d**n ambitious that her own ambition killed her. Now Henry VIII was a lunatic Bas***d but that doesn't change the gist of what she did  Yet in the series it's like, "Oh but she LUUUURVES him". "She is manipulated by her father who wants power!" (In reality, she barely had a relationship with her father). I LOVE the fact that Charles Brandon (Cavill's character) doesn't like her ONE BIT

Cavill and Rhys Meyers have a ridiculous amount of sexy scenes in the first season. And throughout the series in general. But S1 literally was soft porn at times LOL. Showtime (the channel that produced and broadcast the series in the US) is known for being racy, so they kept up with their name with the Tudors.

I think it's anyway a good example for Cavill's acting and because he literally plays James Bond at the age of Henry VIII. The scene I linked in my previous post is a good example  Funny that the girl with him in the scene is Gabrielle Anwar, who plays Fiona in "Burn Notice", quite a Bond-like series.

I have yet to see Sherlock Holmes but I've been told by SO many people that the series is great that I will no doubt check it out. I just need to download the episodes. I'll let you know what I think of the guy, I literally have no idea what he looks like

I don't quite understand why some on here posted to mock my perfect GOD-like Henry  Seriously, the photos you have on here are first off reeeeally old. That opening photo is ridiculously old. And second... seems like a lot of people who posted hadn't seen him in anything! At least watch him before dismissing him. And really, more recent photos of him are badly needed in here. Ohh btw, I need to set up my avatar accordingly...

The "drunk/screaming racial slurs" stuff is what put me off of Rhys Myers. Granted, it's only when he's drunk, but still.
