For me it's the fact he looks like a psychopath. Sorry, that's how I feel when I look at him, never found him to be my cup of tea. Then of course there's what you said, which just makes him fall flat at the bottom of the list. So disgusting. Don't care that "it's only when he's drunk". A)I don't appreciate drunk men B)I appreciate racial slurs combined with drunkenness even less.

That said, he's good in the part of Henry VIII. Probably because it's actually very fitting for his personality?

I focused on Cavill anyway there, so I can't give you details on Rhys Meyers other than that haha. Seriously.. he is good. If I tolerated watching him I think you can too because really he's never been my type either.

Rhys Myers' eyes...they're  . That smiley is perfect, lol.

I'm surprised that there wasn't more of an outrage, because apparently Rhys Myers has had these drunken outbursts before..apparently he wants to be the younger version of Mel Gibson! :D

I should find the video, but there is an interview with Cavill and another two actors of The Tudors where they embarass them BIG time because they have a tabloid with Rhys Meyers and that airport outburst... and one of the actors says it's a lookalike and that's been going on for years, that Rhys Meyers is on set and doing just fine. LOL I felt SOO bad for that guy. The interviewer (woman) is a complete idiot, and they're all way too nice. Especially Henry, swoon. Found it. Consider they all have beards, longer hair etc because the characters needed to be older. Cavill even has grey hair on the side because they dyed it for the character on the show.

Here is a quick glimpse at Cavill doing his own stunts on the set of Cold Light of Day. Just one stunt, but you can see how he certainily isn't afraid of throwing himself against a balcony while being suspended 20 meters from the ground. He had to have bruises on legs after that, I don't think he quite calculated the speed at which he hit the balcony LOL There's a very distinct "THUD!" of him hitting it both times he does the scene. If he repeated it more than 4-5 times, it must have taken a toll on his legs

Anyway here goes. Film looks like it's going to have good action. I'm really looking forward to seeing it. And since there are Bruce Willis lovers here, this is for them too, since he's in the video as well (being part of the movie and all, LOL). Video is from a Spanish TV so it's all in Spanish.

Jumping across balconies, shades of the footchase from QOS though don't you think?
Cavill would need to do something with his hair for Bond too.
It's either to long, or not the right style.

Even Bonds attempts at roof chasing is nothing compared to District 13, Amazing stuff.

LOL! Mild suggestion they need a better second unit director?

It's just the look he has for the movie, it's supposed to be longer and messier. He normally has a nice shorter haircut, and he certainly has the perfect style in the Dunhill ads. That won't be a problem

Haha, the jumping across balconies is a feature of many movies. I'm unsure whether he jumps from somewhere in front or whatever else is happening there, since clearly they cut from a previous scene to that. I saw other takes from filming and there's another good action scene with him shooting someone and then going away in a car, while still holding the gun. The only part of that on youtube though is after the guy he hits is on the ground and he goes away in the car with a girl. Looks like there are quite a few good car-chase scenes as well (there are youtube videos of those). All in all, should be a decent movie in terms of action. I hope it does well. For Cavill and for all those naysayers who will have to shut up.

The good news is one of the writers of the movie, the biggest one actually, also wrote Ransom, Shaft among other things but most of all, he wrote quite a few episodes of The Wire, a very gritty police drama loved by critics (not by myself so much in that it was WAY too dark for my taste, but definitely very well-written). Guy sure knows what he's doing when it comes to writing this type of movie.

What is wrong with his hair? The Bart Simpson look worked for Craig, Craig's hair in the movies is awful, washed up coach awful why they never tried to make it look like he wasn't assaulted by Supercuts we'll never know.

Hi! And welcome! This is indeed a great community

And yeah, surely Henry can cut his hair, like he's done many times. I loved the very short hairdo of S1 in the Tudors, but that's a tad on the short side for Bond ,so I think the Dunhill ads look (Still short but not too short) will do to play Bond.

LMAO! Ain't that the truth. That's right. Even Henry's long hair will do after all. LOL. The stunt scene above is just one where he must look messy, so clearly the hair isn't styled. But when styled, I think even the longer look can work. That said, the Dunhill ads show he looks great with shorter hair too, so if a trim is needed, it certainly won't be a problem. Depends what they want to do when he starts... if it's rookie Bond still, they may want to go with shorter "military-like" hair. If not, longer will do. Either way, his hair is great. Yeah sorry, another great thing for him  It's not my fault, blame it on his mother  I read a comment the other day under one of his youtube videos and laughed: "his parents must just sit and think "d**n, we're good""

Craig has had some interesting looks in the movie's he's done. He had long(very unflattering) hair in Our Friends In The North. Thank god he didn't have facial hair there as well-that would not have been a good look.

I think they did the best they could with his Bond hair. And it still looks far from ideal, but that can't be changed. At least he's got a haircut that is a haircut.

I must add I also loved Cavill's longer hair look in the final season of the Tudors. It wouldn't be appropriate for Bond, at least not all the time... unless they had a part of the movie similar to the first half of DAD. I'd have to avert my eyes. I can't stand torture scenes (says the one who has Alias as her favorite TV show, torture scenes ABUND there LOL). But really I always look away. And I find them creepy in that I think they actually give suggestions to those freaks. No, thanks  But anyway, if they did something like that, for the joy of sadists united, the look he had in S4 of the Tudors will do (I won't post it as I don't want Katie to be spoiled )

 very true. Not Pierce though. His hair was bloody great. Still is. By far the best hair of all Bonds. If Cavill gets the role, he'll have the best one though since he has a good combination of messy but not too much, and styled when needed.

Meantime, Cavill's movie Immortals has a new distribution agreement for the US, per yesterday's report from the Hollywood Reporter: I keep reading here and there on big entertainment sites how this is a big production, yada, yada. I am seriously starting to get scared, all this hype is NEVER good. I want it to do well, please. Without exaggerating or they won't be able to cast him as Bond anymore. So let's please stop the exaggerate hype, colleagues? Thanks. We need things to go MY WAY.

Ahhhh I was waiting for you to say something about Henry after watching a few of the Tudors episodes. Glad you appreciate His Glorious Hotness. He's such a gentleman, too (in real life I mean) and great with fans/media. I swear it would be a blessing in that sense to have him as Bond. And not only in that sense :P He sure has the perfect Bond looks. And he's a very good actor. Did you already see the boat scene? That's one of my favorites together with the dancing scene... it really feels like Bond dialogue. Pretty much like "you violated my daughter!" "I swear to Your Grace, someone else was there before me"  That one cracks me up every time I rewatch the scene. (Of course I am distracted by Henry's, ahem, scarce propensity to wear clothes in that scene, but..)

LOL nooo the dancing scene is in the Tudors, it's the dialogue in it and the way they flirt shamelessly that is Bondian, not the dance. It being a XVI century dance it really doesn't include anything like Saturday Night Fever ass shaking though

Besides, I could see Bond in a dance scene at the casino that gets out of hand (he ends up pointing the gun secretly at the Bond girl he's dancing with). LOL just regular dance with refined jazz music, not anything particularly weird  Henry would be great in a scene like that, that's for sure! And it doesn't have to be anything that out of place... men in tuxedos dancing with a woman in a ball gown and things going downhill fast is something that very often happens with spies... heck, they have done it more than once on Alias.

This is the Tudors scene I'm talking about:

As you can see it's nothing strange and I think something like what I mentioned above could definitely work in a Bond movie. Anyhow I didn't mention it because of the dancing but because of the attitude and dialogue between them... that has a "Bond and Bond girl" vibe to it.
