I know in the past, especially the 70's and 80's, Sir Michael Caine was mooted as a possible replacement for Sir Roger Moore.
Anyone else think this would have been an odd casting choice?
I love Michael Caine, but I can't see him as a OO7.
Can you imagine the change in dialogue:
" 'ello blofeld, how are ya, son?"
"Stop pointing, that bloody laser, at my genitals."
"You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off." wrong movie.
Any thoughts?

Michael Caine is cool, but as James Bond? Maybe if he were to carry on the lighthearted take from Moore, other than that no.

Re: Michael Caine as James Bond
We almost had Caine as Bond with the Harry Palmer series.
He would have been a more viable choice for Bond than Craig.

Bring back Bond!
Re: Michael Caine as James Bond
Caine's younger days (earlier than the pictures posted by Capt. Nash) resembles the looks of Jude Law.
James Bond: NOT just another action hero.
I'll skip Bond 23 & wait for:
Bond is on an indefinite leave, He'll Be Back.

Re: Michael Caine as James Bond
I have a hard time with him in any Bond type of role after him being in the last Austin Powers movie
