2007 action films

Post by agent english »

Hi Guys

I'd thought i'd start a more friendly discussion here!!

As everyone here are Bond fans though with different outlooks
on the franchise, i'd thought some of you may also be interested
in other action franchises.

I like most of them, and am keen to see the new Die Hard film.
What is the buzz like in the USA for this new Bruce Willis film.

What action pics have you seen lately and have they lived upto your expectations and what are you looking to in the near future.

Regards EA

Welcome EA. As you can see, the discussions here are mostly very friendly, even between opposing viewpoints.

I hope you can include DVDs that we've just seen, even though they may be months or a year old. In this catagory, "Unleashed" with Jet Li was entertaining in both action and characters. Oh, what was his recent release set in old China? forget the title, but a good one, except for the CG (thankfully not as much wire work as other martial arters. Spidey 3 was the poor brother of the other two.

Die Hard (6? 7?) can be a generically interesting film. Maybe they'll put him in a small town. That could be fun. The new Rambo should be good, since the Stallone retained some of his old luster in Rocky Balboa. I think Rambo should die in this one.
You move very well for a dead man, Mr Bond
Kill him!
Kill Bond! Now!

Besides Die Hard 4, there were hardly any great action movies this year. It's really dissapointing considering the plethora of many "event" films in the summer. 2008 looks vastly shaping up better.

It seems like the last Bourne and Die Hard 4 came out about 4 years ago!
Bring back Bond!
