Connery will not be coming out of retirement for Indy 4.

I would've liked him too. I thought the by play between Connery and Ford in TLC was brilliant. But with the introduction of Indy's son ( ) maybe it would've been overkill.
Your right. The on-screen chemistry between Connery and Ford was excellent.

I guess there is a slight likeness there. But I really don't want another short round type character.
Time will tell. I'll be eager to see how this pans out.

Nash, IF they go 'short round', I walk out of the theatre. I could not understand why that character was ever introduced. It would be a good way for Ford to retire after this film, and go out as Indiana Jones one final time.

Short Round was one of the better aspects of TOD in my opinion.

He monopolized too much of the script for my taste and it concentrated far too much on children vs. adults. Indy needs NO sidekicks, no Tontos, just himself.

First pic of Harrison Ford back in his Indy gear for the first time since 1989.

Shia mentioned his character would be nothing like Short Round. Besides that, nothing new from his character. I'm guessing he'll play a student of Indy.

Well that's encouraging to hear."
I must say that HF does look good with the 'Indy' gear on. This will certainly be worth a view.
Will be watching the production with great interest from now on.

Given the history between Bond and Dr. Jones...

For Your Eyes Only $54,812,802 VS Raiders of the Lost Ark $209,562,121

License to Kill $34,667,015 VS The Last Crusade $197,171,806

Let's see the overall take for both franchises in the 1980s:

James Bond $258,887,293 VS Indiana Jones $586,604,198

Gee, this is a tough one.

5 Bond films against 3 Indy films and the latter still manages to double what Bond made. Would you be suprised if Bond got trumped again at the box office by Indy? I wouldn't think so. So of course using Indy to compare against a Bond film would be unfair.

I am looking forward to Indy IV. Curiosity more than anything.

Spielberg's directing style has changed dramatically since Last Crusade.
Will he use the hand-held camera action technique that he has used ever since Saving Private Ryan?

Will John Williams do another great Indy score?

Has Lucas got it in him to write another great script? Most doubters of the new Star Wars films will say probably no.

Is Ford too old now to play an action role?

It will be interesting to find out.

Harrison Ford has confirmed that another Indiana Jones is likely. Sigh.

George Lucas is apparently coming up with the story – oh s**t, here we go again; bring on the two-headed CGI monsters that crawl out of Dr. Jones’s ass – for the fifth Jones movie, Ford tells The LA Times.

"It's crazy but great”, Ford says of Lucas’s idea for the new film. “George is in think mode right now."

Ford says another sequel is not only an appealing idea but a viable one.

"It's automatic, really, we did well with the last one and with that having done well and been a positive experience, it's not surprising that some people want to do it again”.

One thing Ford would never help Lucas out on, should he decide to do it, is an animated “Indiana Jones” movie - something that does seem probable given Lucas’s recent “Star Wars” toon-pic “The Clone Wars”.

"I'm not philosophically against doing animation roles but not for Indiana Jones," Ford said. "I'd hate to see it reduced in any way from the movies that we have done and the way we have done them."

I’ve watched “Crystal Skull” a few times now, and have to say, the thought of an animated Indiana Jones movie doesn’t bother me one bit – not after sitting through that atrocity. There’s nowhere to go but up, I believe…hope.
