"Mission: Impossible 5" - Title is a subject to be changed

Post by John P. Drake »

Last year, it was announced that the fifth installment in the Mission: Impossible film series was going to be coming out on Christmas 2015. Due to the massive success of Ghost Protocol back in 2011, Tom Cruise pushed forward the process of the upcoming sequel. Brad Bird, the director of the latest entry, was rumoured to be coming back to the chair of the director, but eventually opted himself out, and was replaced with Christopher McQuarrie who worked with Cruise on Jack Reacher the year after. With the film now in production, completing the required scenes in Austria, now shooting on location in Morocco, it oversees the infamous IMF elite team, Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Jeremy Renner and Simon Pegg reprising their respective roles, with Alec Baldwin and Rebecca Ferguson (who is rumoured to be cast as Miranda Frost in Bond 24) joining the cast. Sean Harris is in talks to play the main villain of the film. And despite all these, the plot still remains undisclosed, and a press conference is yet to be taking place, along with the announcement of the final title of the product. The screenplay is written by Drew Pearce and Will Staples.

It appears Simon Pegg's character, Benji Dunn, who was supposed to be a computer expert, takes on a larger role in the field.

Does this mean EON will now sue them for copyright infringement too?
