Jesse is a misfire for me. Jeremy could work. Ben looks the part yet might be too notorious.

I was hoping Dalton would get the part.

How about Brosnan as Alfred. Or is that too radical?

Maybe in the future, but not quite yet, unless he's playing the New 52 Alfred.

I would prefer Pierce as James Gordon.

I would prefer Dalton as Gordon. I wouldn't be disappointed if Bryan Cranston was Gordon either though.

Irons really flew under the radar. Everyone just saw Jesse's name there and had a wtf? moment (myself included). I'm reassured by Snyder's recent comments saying they are being really picky with the casting and choosing the right people to match the script.

BTW, I noticed there has been no discussion here about Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. What's everyone's thoughts on that?

I'd never heard of her before, so I don't really have an opinion one way or the other. She seemed a bit skinny in the publicity photo I saw, but she could always bulk up.

She's in the last three Fast & Furious. I've seen her in at least one if them (all those movies are so similar I know it wasn't 6 )

as you can see she didn't make a huge impression . From the photos i'd agree she seems a little skinny , if she looks good overall in costume I doubt it'll bother me even if she is not the standard most have in mind of WW.
IMO the DC universe is not as polarizing for casting since they rebooted so many time in the comics and with so many cartoons with bolder casting than this movie.

But real DC comic fans may have valid concerns. I enjoy some DC comic but don't care about most of the characters.

Green lantern - don't care. Dumb idea in many ways.

Superman - didn't like the 1980 movies and I do like MOS. Fans that say MOS is aimed at not true fans have a point.

Batmen - liked dark knight didn't care for 1990s movies or the 1960s series.

Wonder Woman - ????? , only thought is she should be sexy as hell.

Aquaman - don't care.

Green arrow - like the new dark knight style series what I've seen of the comic is lame.

Other DC characters - ?????

Honestly I think miscasting XMen might be more upsetting. But even in the marvel universe there are plenty of characters I do not care about. And they did miscast the invisible woman with Alba ( she's hot so the complaint dept was shut down )

IMO DCs problem is marvel did a good job setting up their avengers franchises, incidentally using a director DC hired then fired who might have made WW a hit.

Gadot has posted pics of herself bulking up in her blog. Apparently she has talked with Jamie Alexander (who played Sif in Thor) and got advice on how to look buff and hot at the same time. She said she has a 3 film contract for this film, a solo WW film and the Justice League.

Do you think they'll reboot GL or keep the Ryan Reynolds film? DC and WB haven't said either way on it yet unlike the Dark Knight trilogy which they immediately said was separate.

Tim was rumored to be Alfred, which I can definitely see especially with a mustache.
I wouldn't be disappointed if Bryan Cranston was Gordon either though.
He did voiced Gordon in Batman: Year One animated direct-to-video film.
Irons really flew under the radar.
Same with Tim, but he isn't much of a fan of being in the spotlight.

Apparently Cyborg is in it too now. Some guy I've never heard of is playing him. So many heroes for one film, I'm guessing he and Wonder Woman will just cameo.

*EDIT*

First look at batfleck and the new batmobile. Nice to see a traditional style batmobile instead of that awful Humvee thing from The Dark Knight.

They gave far too much away in that trailer.
