Walkabout

Post by The Sweeney »

I hated this when I saw it as a kid, but now I've grown to appreciate it. Directed by Nicholas Roeg (Don't Look Now) and starring Jenny Agutter (where you get to see her bush...I mean the bush).

It's a bit wierd, even creepy in places, set in Australia, but has music maestro John Barry at the helm doing the soundtrack (sounding quite DAF-ish).

Anyone else seen this one?

I remember doing the book at school. Our English teacher read it to us and he had a really annoying voice. I haven't seen this for a while but I do love Nicholas Roeg's films. Bad Timing and The Man Who Fell To Earth are really good too.
