People said the same thing about Attack of the Clones and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, both of which made megabucks at the box office. Though they were both entries in established franchises, unlike Tintin.

I don't see the Tin Tin movie doing well, in the States(where hardly anyone's heard of it) or elsewhere.

I think it'll be huge in the Francophone world where Tintin is as well known as, say, James Bond. In the States, I think the studio hopes that people will be drawn in by the names Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson, rather than that of Tintin.

Attack of the Clones and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull had big names franchises behind them. Secret Of The Unicorn sounds a bit gay. It'd sound that waay with Indiana Jones or Star wars in the title

besides didn't they cancel this project|?

I'm not all that familiar with TIn-Tin. I think Nickelodeon had a cartoon called Tin-tin but I can't for the life of me remember what it was about.

I'm sure Craig apologists will try to say it's not crap  as will Spielberg apologists(and there *are* some apologists for both, believe it or not!).

True that, but he's got plenty of people willing to kiss his a$$ even when he makes a movie that's not that great.I'm sure Tin Tin will attract Craig fans, even though from what I've read he isn't in it much.

The Secret Of The Unicorn is a classic Tintin title that expresses the spirit of adventure inherent in the books. It derives from 1943.

I don't see what's so terrible about it. Most people will probably just refer to the movie as Tintin anyway.

It doesn't strike me as being any worse than Raiders of the Lost Ark or The Empire Strikes Back or Curse of the Black Pearl. All of them are inspired by 40's pulp fiction/B-movies, so a title of a 1943 comic book fits perfectly.

Eh, to each his own but the title and the fact that Daniel Craig is involved(though minimally) won't help when it comes to marketing it.
