Sad news, although he did have a very long life. I loved the Carry Ons - particularly the rather OTT 1970's ones. He also produced the great Bless This House spin-off film.

I found this quote from Peter Rogers on the IMDB:

(Speaking about _Carry On Spying (1965)) "I was threatened with a writ if I used double oh (as in James Bond 007) anything. I had lawyers on the set making a huge fuss. Harry Saltzman and Albert R. Broccoli had just made Dr. No (1962) and we were talking downstairs in Pinewood discussing the success of the Carry On films. Harry said to Albert 'perhaps we should make a comedy'. I said 'I thought you had?'. They were furious!"

Bring back Bond!
