I was planning to see it tomorrow, but I think I'll wait until it comes out on DVD. Somehow it doesn't seem to be in the same league as the 6 episodes, even the prequels.

Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars
I think Star Wars seriously needs to be put to sleep. Let the films speak for themselves, no more merchandising. It's overkill.
Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Seeing as it's just the first 2 or 3 episodes of the TV series cobbled together into a movie, I think I'll just watch it on TV. Maybe. Depends if there's anything else on, cos it looks a bit s**t.

When would Lucas moved on to his new projects? Stallone moved on from his Rocky series.
Re: Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Part of me would like to see episodes 7 to 9, because I know Lucas originally planned the SW saga as 9 films, and I'm a completist by nature, while the other part of me thinks they'd inevitably disappoint.FormerBondFan wrote:When would Lucas moved on to his new projects? Lucas doesn't plan to make anymore episodes, but he still has the live-action Star Wars TV series to be taking care of.

Episode 1-3 were better off if episodes 4-6 didn’t exist.
I was always hoping he do episode 7-9 but he gave up on that a long time ago and I don't think he has it in him anymore.
May be if he stuck to producing and let other directors make the movies. Star Wars was always better when other directors did them.

I think the sequel trilogy (episodes 7-9) was meant to be the extension of the original trilogy.Dr. No wrote:Jedi was the first symptom of his spiral downward. I saw it over the weekend. God where to start.
Ok some things in this were better thought out and written than in the prequels. But it is the same old garbage new package.
:?:Jabba the Huts son. why
Jabba the Huts Gay uncle (very gay, truman capote sounding)
The battels made about as much senses as anything in Star Wars. The shields are a problem until they pass over you for some reason.
anakin's padawan was a nice touch and should be in the movies instead of what they did.
The bad guys were more interesting than in the last movies.
The plot was stupid. It was never explained if the bad guys were kidnapping Jabba's son to get the Jedi involved and have the jedi responsible for his death angering Jabba. Frame the jedi for the kidnapping, get the jedi to kill jabba, or the bad guys working with Zero the hut kill of jabba and zero takes over the evil empire.
I have to give it to the voice talent, none of them except a few are form the movies and their voice are very good. Maybe they were run through a computer.
The whole movie was a pilot for a cartoons series. I am offended! This should never be in the theaters. It was direct to DVD at worst and a late night cartoon network at best.

They should go with the Knights of the old republic. That game had a great story.CaptainLewis wrote:Does anyone think the Force Unleashed will be made into a movie?
FOrce unleashed is interesting , it fills in the "Luke join with me and we'll destroy the empire" with a adopted son filling lukes place. I felt the story was weak, shared many weakness of the clone wars and prequels.

As much as I want Expanded Universe stories to be adapted, I think Star Wars needs a long rest.

It was full of all kinds of good stuff. Liek Seeing the sands crawler years before the Jawas took them over. what a treat!
