Connery or Craig?
Many of the Bond fans have taken leave fo their senses ( )and now say that Craig is better than the usual Bond favourite Sean Connery.
Which do you prefer?

For me Connery will always be the Bond to beat. Even if some day they manage to clone him and remake all the movies with Clonnery.
Sean Connery's original Bond made it all work.
It is a little disingenuous to label Daniel the best. I'm glad Daniel's friends (and now ours) here are willing to hold back judgment.
Another fascinating part of being a Bond fan is we normally love the Bond of our generation, usually the first Bond we see at the movies.

The first Bond I saw was Roger Moore too. He's my favourite.Kristatos wrote:The first Bond I saw at the movies was Roger Moore. How true Blowfeld, Sir Roger Moore was Bond when I got the Bond bug, and although I prefer Sir Sean Connery now, I will always have a soft spot for Roger Moore.Blowfeld wrote:For me Connery will always be the Bond to beat. I also liked Timothy Dalton and George Lazenby, and Brosnan too.
Although only two of his films were any good.
Daniel Craig has made a fantastic debut as far as I'm concerned and while he may not be everyones cup of tea, he has appealed to alot of people.
When I here people say they are a true Bond fan I tend to think they're an idiot and have little time for them.
If we all liked the same thing the world would be a very boring place. So to finally answer the question :
Connery, Sean Connery.
He'll always be the one to beat. Though some of the others will be d**n close or even on the same page.

Don't think so... Dalton was fine, yes, he could be great, but he was a Fleming Bond, not a film Bond as Connery and Moore. Out of Connery and Craig I of course choose Connery. Still, Craig isn't Bond...BondFan007 wrote:Well, I think Dalton is the best Bond since Connery, and Craig is close behind.

And out of all the other actors to play Bond, Craig is probably the one I would tip to be the 2nd Bond actor to receive an Oscar.paco chaos wrote:this is a silly question. Connery or Craig?
Connery. if you need to know why, then you must not have seen the first 5 Bond films. Connery is the only Bond actor with an oscar, I might add.
it's like, filet mignon or hamburger?

Sorry to break this to you Moore, but Craig IS Bond. It says so on the opening credits. And apparently he will also be Bond for the next film too.Moore wrote:Don't think so... Possibly, I'm not saying Craig is a bad actor, I just don't find him to be a convincing Bond. I doubt he will be a legend the way Sean Connery is, even if he did win an oscar.
Is this a serious question ? Connery had the height, physical presence, dark good looks, voice and charisma. He could turn heads stir by walking into a room. Craig has'nt got any of these qualities & has only made one offical Bond movie (that is one too many for me !). Comparing Connery to Moore or Brosnan is a better debate. The Sweeney wrote:Connery has been my fav Bond ever since I was 2 minutes old.
I guess it all depends on how Craig's next film is.
If it is as good as CR, then he may well pip my all-time fav No. 1 spot......
