An up to date link too. Some of the facts in the Mental Floss article are a bit iffy. Timothy Dalton was not offered the role in OHMSS. He was simply asked to attend an interview - along with 10,000 other actors you'd imagine. Roger Moore said that if he was considered for Dr No no one told him about that. They were though planning to make TMWTGG around 1967/68 and approached Roger but the film got cancelled and by the time OHMSS rolled around Roger was in a television contract and couldn't be considered.

Yeah, I think there's very little in there that most of us won't have heard before, true or otherwise. Nice of them to link to us, though. This site must be valuable real estate, judging by the number of spam posts I delete every day from people asking in broken English how they can advertise on here.

I've been away a decade. Things happened. Searched for the site, found it, and found that, too. And yes, it's as shallow as I expected Mental Floss to be.

They really are obsessed with "us" (people who dare to buck the official narrative), constantly bemoaning the heretics who refuse to swallow their tripe. I like this little "knife" the "author" tries to twist on us:

"...16 years of billion-dollar grossing films..." Really which ones? Yes SF cracked a billon, which others have? I'll wait...

CR needed better editing. QoS was utterly forgettable. SF was okay entertainmentwise, but bogglingly stupid at the beginning--my wife is head of IT security for a major defense contractor. You NEVER plug a suspicious item into your network. I haven't seen any since.
