Hey now Craig is 5'10. That's average. The pouting adds at least another inch.

Anyways, I loved Moore when I was a kid, namely his first three films.

Actually, I loved all the Bond films when I was kid, nothing was better than Bond week in November, except maybe Twilight Zone marathon on New Years eve.

It's just that, Casino Royale blows all those old films out of the water, and as an adult, my perspective is shifted.

Average where? In Great Britain? In the United States, Craig would be just one inch above average if he is 5"10'.

BTW, for all you "tall and dark" types, Moore looks almost reddish brunette, some might say a dark strawberry blonde.

Moore's appearance does fall more inline with Fleming's description of Bond as having movie start looks. Having said that, I agree with you that Octopussy was terrible, wrenchhands. Is smoking too controversial in films and the media these days to ever return in a Bond film? The only movie I can remember Bond smoking a cigarette was in Dr. No. Why did they change Bond smoking cigs to cigars with Moore?

Anyways, I agree Craig isn't like the other Bonds. If he didn't have such good material to work with, I'd probably dislike him too. But Casino Royale is the best Bond ever, so, I'm inclined to call him the best Bond ever.
