Critic Roger Friedman: Last week was tough on Broadway, even for big stars. “Macbeth” starring Daniel Craig only filled 83% of the Longacre Theater in 8 shows. What’s going on? This is James Bond in a terrific performance. Ruth Negga was nominated for a Tony Award as Lady MacBeth. This production should be selling out. But the peculiar voting of the Tony Awards didn’t give Craig a nomination for Best Actor in a Play. This was a mistake. The result was that Craig was not on the Tony Awards broadcast. The play didn’t get the exposure it needed, and frankly, the Tonys lost viewers not having him on. :hair: Last week, “Macbeth” fell short of the magic million dollar mark, too. That’s good news for the theaterlovers who will can get a ticket to see the Scottish play before it closes on July 10th. But “Macbeth” with these two stars should be totally sold out.--------maybe it was not worth the money Roger and people did not like it. It closed yesterday. Broccoli now has 'all the time in the world' to devote to finding the next Bond actor, but she won't bother, as Cr-egg is still etched into her psyche.

Nash is an unhappy and miserable human being MP. His hatred of this website and to all of the inhabitants within it, is beyond extreme. He requires help, although Sigmund Freud would find him untreatable.

IMO it was a control issue. Apparently he thought he was the moderator everywhere and that the rules elsewhere applied here.Spoiler alert:They didn’t.

Haggis spoke for the first time in detail about the allegations with Italian newspaper La Repubblica, with the Oscar winning saying: ‘I didn’t rape anyone but I made two mistakes. My life has been destroyed in a minute.’

Canadian Haggis said: 'My first mistake was allowing someone who I hardly knew to come and visit me. It was foolish. The second mistake was on the last morning after an incident occurred that I personally found particularly unpleasant, I decided to end this situation.

‘I took this person to the airport hours before her flight. I’m upset with myself for these errors in judgement but cannot comprehend that they resulted in false and damaging accusations against me.’

"Bond. James Bond." If you're a fan of the 007 franchise, you have chance to hear that over and over again with this Amazon Prime Day deal. The James Bond Collection originally retails for $115 but is on sale now for $60. That's 24 James Bond movies for sale in this deal. All of the films are Blu-ray quality, put on 24 discs for this set.

Without getting into the whole issue of Bond's race yet again, I do think that Henry Golding has enough charm to play him reasonably convincingly. Mind you, I'm at the point now where I think that Craig was so awful as Bond, almost anybody would be an improvement.

I feel like the real standout in that movie was Blake Lively. That surprised me somewhat since she was pretty mediocre in most of the stuff I've seen her in. But here, she nails it completely.

Broccoli could clean up having her proxy bet for her: Betting firm Ladbrokes has updated their stats for who the public feel will be the next face of Commander Bond. Yet again, Henry Cavill has taken the top spot from frequent frontrunner Page. The full field of competitors, as seen below, also sees Tom Hardy regaining his spot in third place. Here’s the current landscape in the James Bond betting race:

Henry Cavill (3/1)
Regé-Jean Page (7/2)
Tom Hardy/Chiwetel Ejiofor (6/1)
Aidan Turner/Idris Elba (10/1)
James Norton (12/1)
Richard Madden (16/1

Predator film trivia: initially Jean-Claude Van Damme was the different looking Predator. Image He was fired for being dehydrated in the suit and the costume was then changed is one version of the story. Others say Bloodsport was financed and he wanted out of Predator to do it, so he became a pain in the rear and they fired him. Image

It's an audience choice award, so he probably gets it by virtue of being a big star name. Most stage actors aren't really known outside the theatregoing community.

Since the character's inception, James Bond's characterization has fluctuated in tone from one incarnation to the next. While one actor playing 007 is serious and hard, the next is generally light-hearted and fun. Sean Connery's original Bond was replaced by the comedic, frivolous and eyebrow-raising Roger Moore, who was succeeded by the hard-nosed and Fleming-like Timothy Dalton. Next in line was the easy-on-the-eyes and action-oriented Pierce Brosnan. Given that the Daniel Craig era was the bleakest yet, it stands to reason that fans are due another fun Bond with tongue-in-cheek frivolity and easy-to-digest entertainment more akin to the Moore and Brosnan days.
Bring back Bond!
